I am a 3rd year student of Economics at UEK Krakow with specialisation in Real Estate Management. I am preparing to write my bachelor's thesis.
The topic of my thesis is the costs of equipment and operation of an intelligent building on the example of a single-family house. Here comes my request to you: please let me know about any materials on the topic I have given. This could be book titles, journal publications, conference materials, website addresses and so on and so forth, anything that can be used when writing the thesis.
As I am studying Economics, my thesis should focus more on economic aspects, less on technical ones - that is why I am asking for everything related to finance on the topic of intelligent buildings, installations in it and so on.
The objectives I would like to include in the paper are: to present information on the very topical issue of the smart home. The aim will also be to provide an economic and cost perspective on the equipment and operation of smart homes. Another aim will be to show that, despite the higher costs of equipping a house with intelligent systems compared to a house without such systems, it is worth using such systems, due to the minimisation of operating costs and maximisation of benefits, not financial but such as functionality, comfort and safety.
In addition, I will present a real-life example because a friend has a house equipped with intelligent systems. This will be the practical part, but I need as much information as possible for the theoretical part.
