Hi. Is the pressure of 6 to 8 bar suitable for HVLP painting?

6 to 8 bar is too much even for HP technology. First, write down what kind of gun it is.

    - EXPERT 2002 1.4 mm HVLP orange
    - some Auarita 2.0 mm green, this one is probably also in HVLP, but I am not sure

The compressor turns on when there is 6.5 bar (or 6 with something), and turns off at 9.0.

Set the appropriate value on the pressure reducer (~ 2 bar, read carefully on forums), besides: High Volume Low Pressure - High efficiency, Low pressure.

Do you use air tools on this compressor? If not, you can reduce the pressure range.

Most often, the working pressure in HVLP pistols varies between 1-3 bar.

If you don't know something, you better not write.

    Justify the allegation.

    All the guns I have:

Spray gun R-1007 HVLP max. 3 bars 1.4mm nozzle
    K - 887M HVLP max. 3 bar, nozzle 1,4
    LW 913 / HVLP max. 3.5 bar

These are not HVLP pistols, they are just cheap HP Chinese. 2.5-3 bar are HP pistols. Of course, we are talking about the input pressure. HVLP is max 2 bar and min 400 l / min.

If you want to talk about the types of guns, write on the basis of recognized brands, because HVLP or another symbol can be placed on each product.

Expert 2002 K-506G / S 1.4 is in HP though, and Auarita H827W 2.0 in HVLP. Plasma is also attached to the compressor, which is sometimes used. I will ask, what will reducing the pressure give me? Painting with a primer is a bit difficult for me, because the paint drips off the surface too much, when I reduce the pressure, will it be better? I paint with a circular stream practically all the time. Is the difference in shade also the fault of too much pressure? For example, when I paint a large frame on one side (bottom), wait for it to dry, then turn it and drive on the other side (top).

With a circular stream, you need to reduce the amount of material. You must have a pressure reducer at the compressor, possibly on the wall of the room in which you "paint".

Topic summary

The discussion centers around the appropriate pressure settings for HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) painting guns. A user inquires if a pressure of 6 to 8 bar is suitable for HVLP painting. Responses indicate that this pressure is excessively high, with optimal working pressures typically ranging from 1 to 3 bar for HVLP guns. Specific models mentioned include the EXPERT 2002 and Auarita guns, with recommendations to adjust the pressure reducer to around 2 bar for better efficiency. The conversation also touches on issues related to paint application, such as drips and shade differences, suggesting that reducing pressure may improve results.
