Hello, I bought Baofeng 888s walkie-talkies with software and a PC-USB cable, these Chinese toys even work well and their advantage is the ability to set other frequencies, and this advantage is a big problem, what frequencies should be set to receive anything, e.g. fire brigade, police, units emergency, PKP, etc. in Warsaw? I know that broadcasting in these bands is prohibited, but reception is not and can be used as a cheap frequency scanner :-) Setting Frequencies with Baofeng 888s in Warsaw for Scanning Emergency Services . You need to scan a bit. Generally, look for the police from 170 to 174 MHz, the fire brigade from 148 to 150 MHz, the PKP from 150 to 152 MHz, hams from 145 to 146 MHz. Look for the rest. Maybe you'll hit something else.

    Hello
I have these radios and they are great, but unfortunately only for the 70cm band, i.e. the PSP police monitoring is out, etc.

Hello, you will only listen to repeaters for 70 cm pmr or taxi on it.
I think the police are already coded, I have uv-82 but I haven't listened to any station.

I have this Baofeng, and as the previous speakers said, you won't listen to much here on this band.

In the summer, you will occasionally listen to a pilgrimage.

"Two companies that operate on terminals and voice calls are sporadic."
More is possible ... listen, but in the intervals between broadcasting there is a "fart".
Taxi GLOB'us broadcasts non-stop and on Friday and Saturday evenings with nights it's chaff there.
The range of GLOB'us Branszczyk near Wyszków on Bs 888s was no problem.

I noticed in the BS-888s software there are no all CTCSS tones, maybe I have the wrong program, I don't know ...

The SAWA taxi complaint channel is also cool. 1/3 of the conversations conducted there are fights ;)

    Sawa complaints 429.600
Glob 427.0250 and 427.100, but I don't know which one is with the data. Frequencies given are output (duosimplex).

The GLOBus has 2 channels. One is general and the other is private.
Master globe (output) 427,025 CTCSS and DCTSS tones I won't give you so you don't dirty them there. :P
I talked to the Grosiks, they have radios, but they have free phones from the company and they practically do not answer on the radio.

Verify these frequencies because I gave up ... work.
    Merc taxi 418.900
    428,900
    418.925
    428.925
    Mermaid, City427.1250

    Copernicus 417.7250
    427.7250
    Corporate taxi 418,900
    428,900
    MPT taxi 419.8875
    429.8875
    Unverified...
    427.115
    449,680
    429,300
    429,930
    427.100
    And that's it.

During the day you won't hear much, wait until the evening, or as in the previous post I wrote Friday, Saturday evening with night.
Modern radios, wouxun/baofeng and the like, are deaf outside the bands for which they are intended.
I recommend a radio from the early 90's Alan, Adi, Rexon, Sender 450, or a scanner.

Nonsense. They receive these frequencies without any problem and not only these. Practically from 400 to 470 MHz they work without any problems.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around setting frequencies on Baofeng 888s walkie-talkies for scanning emergency services in Warsaw. Users suggest scanning frequencies for various services: police (170-174 MHz), fire brigade (148-150 MHz), and PKP (150-152 MHz). However, limitations are noted, as the Baofeng 888s primarily operates on the 70cm band, which restricts access to certain emergency communications. Users mention the sporadic nature of transmissions and the potential for listening to taxi communications, particularly from GLOB' us and SAWA. Specific taxi frequencies are provided, including 427.0250 MHz for GLOB' us and 429.600 MHz for SAWA. Overall, while the Baofeng 888s can receive a range of frequencies, the effectiveness for emergency services is limited.
