Hello, I bought a uv-82 radio with the idea of listening to the best uniformed service (I absolutely do not know it) I'm from Lodz so I mean local bandwidth. Unfortunately, I was able to listen only to MPK, so I have a huge request to people in the subject, please, the frequency above all current, because on the forum I found a lot of conspiracy but most of it is out of date. As far as the police are concerned, I realize that I have a Tetra system so there is no chance but the fire brigade or this type of thing can do it now?

Frequencies of independent companies are also of the security type or something in this pattern.
And if the channels are digital then I will give advice on UV-82 baofeng decode or somehow.

Thank you in advance for your answers. :) :D

Digital channels are not a radio you can not decode and as for analog frequencies, turn on the scanner and wait for something meaningful to hear and then save them.

What problem, call these "services", can give you the frequencies on which they work :D .
You think that some "City Guardian" has some idea in this topic.

But still the problem is I just want the frequencies themselves from someone who has access to them, no one knows where

Today you will not hear anything interesting, everyone encodes the signal, especially large cities.

You can check if the taxi works in analog.

    @jimasek

The police frequencies in Łódź are coded and will not listen.

Well, you can hear something in the countryside. Transmissions are not encrypted everywhere. In addition, the services are not the only option that Boafeng can use.

    You can, but not always.
It's better to listen to trains:
    http://www.peter384.cal.pl/r/r.html

The site is checked, the frequencies match.

Well, or the air band, but that's probably not the way to go on this Boafeng.

Unfortunately, the aircraft will not listen.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around the use of the UV-82 radio for monitoring local uniformed services and security frequencies in Lodz. The original poster seeks current frequencies, particularly for the fire brigade and independent security companies, as they have only been able to listen to MPK. Responses indicate that digital channels cannot be decoded, and many services have encrypted their communications, making it difficult to find usable frequencies. Some users suggest checking taxi frequencies and provide links to frequency resources, while others confirm that police frequencies in Lodz are coded and not accessible. Overall, the conversation highlights the challenges of monitoring public service communications in urban areas due to encryption and the need for updated frequency information.

FAQ

TL;DR: In Łódź, a Baofeng UV‑82 receives 136–174 and 400–520 MHz; "Radio frequency range … 136–174 and 400–520MHz." Use that coverage to target analog, non‑airband traffic. [Elektroda, Rezystor240, post #17060535]

Why it matters: This FAQ helps UV‑82 owners in Łódź figure out what they can actually monitor and how to find active analog channels.

Quick Facts

Can my Baofeng UV‑82 listen to the police in Łódź?

No. “The police frequencies in Łódź are coded and will not listen.” Encrypted systems block consumer analog radios. Focus on non‑encrypted analog users instead. [Elektroda, Rezystor240, post #17060464]

Can the UV‑82 decode digital modes like TETRA or DMR?

No. The UV‑82 is analog FM only. As one expert put it: “Digital radio channels will not decode you.” To hear traffic, scan for analog channels and save them. [Elektroda, gumisie, post #17056094]

What analog services in Łódź are still practical to monitor?

Large cities encode most traffic today. You can check whether any taxi operators still run analog. Expect fewer interesting channels in dense urban areas due to digital migration. [Elektroda, Rezystor240, post #17059612]

Where do I get up‑to‑date local frequencies for security companies or businesses?

Use the linked UKE‑based lookup shared in the thread. Search for Łódź to see current licenses and plan your scan ranges accordingly. [Elektroda, Andrzej L., post #17059540]

How do I scan and save active analog channels on the UV‑82?

Use this quick workflow: 1) Enter VFO mode. 2) Start scanning across VHF/UHF. 3) When you hear useful traffic, store it in memory. “Turn on the scanner and wait… then save them.” [Elektroda, sp4olh, post #17055905]

Can the UV‑82 receive airband (aircraft)?

No. “Unfortunately, the aircraft will not listen.” The UV‑82’s receive spans 136–174 and 400–520 MHz, which excludes airband. Stick with land mobile and ham analog within those ranges. [Elektroda, Rezystor240, post #17060535]

What about outside the city—are some services still unencrypted?

Yes, some rural transmissions remain in the clear. “Transmissions are not encrypted everywhere.” Take your scanner outside urban Łódź and listen for analog activity. [Elektroda, jimasek, post #17060468]

Why do I still hear nothing even in rural areas?

Edge case: You can still encounter encryption or low activity. As one member noted, “You can, but not always.” If services are quiet, switch to rail or ham repeaters to verify your setup. [Elektroda, Rezystor240, post #17060500]

Can I listen to MPK Łódź on a UV‑82?

Yes. A user reported hearing MPK with a UV‑82 in Łódź. Program VHF/UHF ranges and scan to capture active dispatch channels. Save confirmed frequencies. [Elektroda, sadzixon, post #17055808]

Where can I find amateur radio repeaters around Łódź?

Check the national repeater list shared in the thread (przemienniki.net). It helps identify local FM repeaters to monitor and test your radio. [Elektroda, jimasek, post #17060451]

What’s a good non‑service target to test my setup?

Rail communications are dependable and audible. A member‑verified resource lists rail frequencies and works for reception checks. Start there to confirm antenna and settings. [Elektroda, Rezystor240, post #17060500]

Do I need ready‑made frequency lists, or should I scan?

Scan first, then build your list from what you hear. “Turn on the scanner and wait… then save them.” This keeps your list current and relevant. [Elektroda, sp4olh, post #17055905]

Is there a band plan I can use as a starting point?

Yes. Use the bandplan resource posted in the thread to guide your sweep across service, business, and ham segments around Łódź. [Elektroda, jimasek, post #17060451]

Will contacting services help me get their frequencies?

No. Don’t expect city guards or services to share operational channels. A suggestion to “call the services” was clearly tongue‑in‑cheek. [Elektroda, gumisie, post #17056094]
