    Hello.
I've come up with something like this, so that as the garage door opens (or closes) from the remote control, a lamp in the garage will also light up.

And now a question to experts on the subject, how can this be done most simply?
I would like to add that the gate operator itself has a small lamp, which is supplied with 12V during operation, and after 2 minutes it goes out - and such lighting would suit me (I enter the illuminated garage, get out and either light the rest of the lamps, or continue walking, and the lamp goes out by itself after some time - just like in the gate drive).

Please provide me with a link to an existing thread (if possible, move it), or a ready-made solution that is as cheap and simple as possible.

This is what I did: I got to the lamp. I soldered a wire where the power goes to the bulb, and the external light I used is the reverse light from a Maluch (126p) has been working for two years now.

Some control panels even have such an output. So, as if you specified its type....
And if it doesn't have such an output, then a relay in parallel to that existing light, and then it's free will.

    a please:)

How do I connect a garage light to a gate operator with 12V? How do I connect a garage light to a gate operator with 12V? How do I connect a garage light to a gate operator with 12V?

PS. colleague mechatroooonik you probably didn't take into account that I am a layman on the subject :P - from what I understood, you will need some kind of relay yes ? (can you provide an example link with a matching one ? or something else besides a relay ?

PS.2. Filip Darkowski - everything would be ok, only I want to switch a 230V lamp from the gate with the automatic )

Normally you go into an electronic shop and ask for a relay with a 12 V coil and 230 V contacts, connect the coil in parallel to the lamp, and put the phase on the normally open contact, from the output of the contact to the lamp and to GND, and you're done.

depending on the type of drive and whether they have current or contact outputs . BFT drives have a light switch output

    Added after 1 [minute]:

as it is written in the manual if not then you only have to connect via a 12/230V relay

It is also possible to install a special electronic module in the garage light and operate it via smartphone

    Hello after a long absence.
As one of my colleagues wrote above - the lamp voltage in the gate drive is at 24V.

    I bought the following relay:
Omron LY2N-J, which is described with the parameters:

    IEC255
    10A 250VAC~

    10A 240VAC
    10A 28VDC

    10A 240V AC1
    10A 28V DC1

For this, there is 24VDC on the coil itself.

Please tell me if this relay will be suitable?

And most importantly - from what I understand, I now need to connect 4 wires to it (in parallel on the power supply of the 24V lamp and similarly on the power supply of the ordinary lamp) - the puzzle for me is under which legs in the relay should I connect? - i would not like to burn something :P
on the photo the relay markings and the pre sketched lamps.

    1. i understand that Z1 is a 230V bulb ?
    2. for what purpose is this bridge ? is it necessary ?

Hi. In the photo of the control panel you can see two miniature relays whose coils are powered by 24 volts DC. So if the same voltage is supplied to the control, then you have a good relay and the bridge is unnecessary. If it is variable on the control, the relay will buzz. You can still bridge pins 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 to increase the load capacity of the relay. Greetings.

    Re.1 Yes
Ad.2 The bulb (L1) is most likely supplied by the relay contacts with AC voltage straight from the transformer and as you have a DC relay with marked polarity a bridge is needed....

Buddy, it is best to use a 230v luminaire with a motion sensor. It will light up when you drive in and turn off after a while. If you enter a dark garage, it will also light up. And you will find 230 volts in the garage.
