The TV does not have the function of recording the picture from TV to USB. (PVR) In the service menu (menu + 4725) I cannot change disabled to enabled (read-only). I know that on these PVR TVs it was an option, there is a recording button on the remote control. How to unlock the recording function on this TV?

    Hello.
The topic is not "archival" yet, so let me say a few words from myself.
At the German Forum I found a topic that deals with software modification in TV sets. Thanks to the tips on this topic, I was able to unlock PVR in my Medion MD30580 TV based on the 17MB70 board (if someone is interested, I can describe step by step how I did it at home), although the topic also describes software modifications for TVs based on, among others for a 17MB95m board.

I recommend that you carefully study the entire topic before trying to unlock the features that are disabled by default, so as not to damage the TV.
To be able to watch recordings from TV on a computer, you need to disable the encryption of recordings on TV - this topic is also described in this topic.

Hello everyone, I would like to refresh the topic of unlocking functions on tv. Unfortunately, the translator did not translate the forum in a way that I understand. Please explain step by step how to do the above. Action.

    Hello

    @DaveePL
I have a ready configuration file with unlocked functions for this TV, just upload it via USB. I just don't know if you have the same TV model.

    @All
Does anyone have a mboot.bin batch for this TV model? Or, does the kotos know how to rip it from a working TV?

Hello. Edass in the attachment I am sending a screenshot from the service menu, maybe you will be able to read it for batch compatibility. Regards

You write about the SM50-240 and you have a Panasonic 48 ''. If I were you, I would not risk uploading my files because you will probably beat the TV.
There is a thread on the Laki dvhk forum about "burying" on this TV. I am posting the content here (I am the author of this post!):

    Quote:

A lot of information about these boards as well as about the 17MB70, 17MB100, etc. models can be found on the Turkish websites. Google does not explain it well, but you can extract the most important information. On a TV with these discs, many additional functions can be activated by editing the swprofile.bin configuration file.
I managed to find 2 programs for the edition:
    1. SWPROFILE.BIN_PATCHER (unfortunately I can't find the installer again)
    2. Vestel-toolbox to be downloaded from:
    http://www.mediafire.com/file/y0c74x...e=DonanimHaber

BEFORE ANY CHANGES, YOU WILL MAKE A COPY OF THE FILES YOU ARE MODIFYING !!!
    It was useful to me

All you need is a pendrive for all the fun.
    1. Create a file called DownloadProfile.mb95 on the flash drive in the main directory
    2. Insert the USB flash drive into the TV and press the MENU on the remote control and then the 4725 keys
3.The Service Menu screen will appear with information about the TV, among others in the upper right corner there will be information about the board model.
4.Select the last item of USB Operation (if I remember the name correctly, it is definitely the last item) and after a few seconds we have the files of interest to us on the pendrive.
    5. edit the mb95_swprofile.bin file using the above mentioned programs, I used SWPROFILE.BIN_Patcher - you can turn on, for example, PVR, turn off encryption of recordings, run additional options such as USB WiFi card support, SMART, Youtube, DLNA functions. As a curiosity, I have an old Edimax card on the Realtek chipset, which I used in the Samsung D series, works on my TV.
    6. Uploading to TV is just as easy. Create a profile folder on the flash drive and paste the modified file into it (it must be called mb95_swprofile.bin)
    7. Connect the USB flash drive to the TV and give Menu 4725 and select the last item USB Operation again - uploading takes a few seconds
    8. Turn off the TV remote control.
    9. Turn on the TV with the remote control.

    10. This point describes the problem I encountered - it happened to me that after changing the swprofile.bin file, I had no image from the DVB-T tuner, the sound was there, the menu worked but the image was not there. I found 2 solutions:
    a) restore factory settings and search for channels again, but it does not always work
    b) uploading the original swprofile.bin

Interesting things, these boards have the IPTV function, in versions with SAT heads, you can run the BISS emu, there is the NETFLIX option and many others. Unfortunately, I do not know Turkish and as I mentioned uncle Google translates poorly and I do not know exactly what to extrude and how these functions work. Another thing is information on some German forums on how to update the software and use the original VESTEL software, thanks to which we get a newer version of SMART.

In your case, the files should end with mb97. If you manage to get these files out, let us know, we'll see what's in there.

I know that the topic is not entirely compatible, but I read that it is all on similar discs, so I connected to the topic. Returning to the software, I was able to easily download it from the TV and run it in the program. By the way, I am disgusted with the amount of features that have been blocked by the manufacturer. On a German forum I found a thread that describes the possibility to switch "type" smartTV

I have concerns about changing any of the smartTV parameters because a message appears about the possibility of damaging the device. Has anyone tried to change?

What should be the name of the folder into which we paste the modified file? Because it is certainly not the same as when copying files from tv to a flash drive. You did not include this name in your description, i.e. you did not give the most important one. TV does not respond to the name '' Profile '' or '' PROFILE '' and it is impossible to upload the modified file. However, with the same name as when downloading, i.e. '' DownloadProfile.mb95 '', tv instead of installing the modified file, downloads the software files as for the first time. :) :)

You create a "profile" folder on the pendrive and put the modified file into it.

Look, maybe my problem is that I was modifying the original file with SwProfile.BIN_Patcher. The file modified with this program is called: '' mb95_swprofile.bin_patched '', and the extension cannot be changed, because the file will not be usable. Perhaps this is why the TV does not recognize the file with this format. How do you think this is what my problem with uploading modified software is?

I was able to upload the modified file to tv with the help of the second Vestel Toolbox 1.1 program. I have a question, is there an item responsible for calibrating the screen? Because what I attach from the screen is only responsible for changing the default settings in the TV's image modes. So it's basically good for nothing. Thank you very much. I am in the same situation and can't change anything in the service menu. So i'll try this
