    Hello

    ABS control valves

Unacceptable result of one of the system operation tests.

Short to ground due to damaged wiring, control valve, or an internal fault in the control unit.

The ABS warning light comes on.

    1. Clear the fault code. Then check the connectors and wiring between the control unit and the control valve.
    2. Disconnect the control valves from the control unit.
    3. Check the wiring for a short between B18 and chassis ground. Replace hoses if worn.
    4. Check the resistance of the control valve between the ground contact and the chassis ground.

Thanks a lot, I understand that it is about the right or left ABS valve, which is on the right or left wheel?

I replaced the right and left modulator, the left one on the coil had a transition to ground on each pin, the right one turned out to be good, I put on a new one, the lamp went out and it turned on again. The reset with the brake pedal does not help either, or it is possible that the harness is damaged. I would like to ask for a diagram because I do not know which wires are on the front of the cabin. Can any of the EBS modulators be damaged?

XLER4X20065147539, bms 1882984 8993 today I made a diagnosis with autocom and the error description is the same as you wrote but autocom did not help me anything

My colleagues, help me, I have such errors in the BMS: 31253, 31431, 2789, 15410, 31509, 14358, I deleted these errors and put the car on the road and they popped up again. There are such concerns in the car when you gently press the pedal of the chamuler, sometimes after releasing the brake pedal, the brake light lights up as if on the brake, you only need to turn off the ignition and everything passes. I do not know if it will help in anything but in the front right wheel next to the frame there is a brake relay valve and recently I saw that it started to leak air, but it also only for some time. Help me if I should replace this valve or the main brake at the brake pedal.

    Hello

Which error is with an asterisk. You have a nice mess in the brake system. Speed sensor, wear sensor, main brake valve plus error regarding the speed of travel between the tacho and the BMS (probably driving on a magnet)

I have the same problem only for me it happens mainly when there is high humidity, rain, snow and then only 1 axle brakes. stop is lit and the alarm sounds the same as in the absence of air. For me it crashes Errors then Bms 15410 (like you) and in the Aps 169 system. The mechanic ordered to check the cables from the Aps to the main brake valve of what is under the hood. If the wires are ok then replace this valve, the main brake valve. If you don't have an error in the Aps, it will be this valve. Probably.
Check if the Aps errors do not crash you.
Tomorrow I will check the cables, it will write what came out the day after tomorrow when the car will test.

In the bundle, one wire was isolated and it turned to tarnish after fixing (soldering and insulating) it and checking the rest of the cables. The car did over 1000 km and the problem did not arise.

Hello. Great value in this topic! I cant speak polish but I've used Google Translate. I want to tank you for the diagram amd to say what I've discovered in my Scania EBS 5 - 8993 fault code (Delphi diagnose code).
I've checked the valves on the front side with the ohmmeter and the result were good and consistent. Also no shorts to ground. Managed to identify the ECU wirings pins with the schematic diagram and I've managed to take a Amp measure on the front valves. here are the results on all 4 front actuators:

    B16 pin

From what I see i think the 1st actuator in V3 valve (front left) is bad. Great.

Update: Replaced the front left valve and problem is solved.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around decoding the Scania R error code BMS 1882984 8993, which is related to ABS control valves. Users report issues with the ABS system, including short circuits due to damaged wiring or faults in the control unit. Steps for troubleshooting include checking wiring and connectors, testing control valves, and replacing faulty components. One user replaced the left modulator and identified a potential issue with the harness. Another user diagnosed the problem using Autocom but found no resolution. A schematic diagram was requested to assist in identifying wiring issues. Ultimately, a user resolved their issue by replacing a faulty front left valve after conducting thorough checks on the system.
