A customer came in with a car that had lost power and displayed two messages:
    - check injection
    - check exhaust
Check and Stop came on, Autocom showed error P2263 - turbo system choke.
After disassembling the turbo, it was found to be in working order, and there was an additional component on the hot inlet side, which turned out to be the EGR cooler flap. Turbine to be checked, impeller on the warm side to be replaced, and of course the EGR cooler too. Unfortunately the cooler is located at the front of the engine under the throttle body connected to the EGR valve. Entire front end to be removed.
After replacing the car like new.
    Regards

Hello, the topic is old, but I have the same problem now, exactly the same errors on the board, the same readings, error p2263, safe mode. The EGR cooler was damaged, the flap fell off and I did not find it, everything is folded and still the emergency mode, the N75 control valves were replaced and the N18 and MAP sensor and the wires were checked and nothing, and the question is whether the EGR cooler flap actually fell into the turbine? Because it's only probably left and maybe a vacuum pump?

Check the flow, vacuum lines, and what the vacuum actually is in the vacuum system. Error P2263 Vivaro 2.0cdi 114kM 2013: Check Injection & Exhalation, EGR Cooler Flap Replacement Error P2263 Vivaro 2.0cdi 114kM 2013: Check Injection & Exhalation, EGR Cooler Flap Replacement

The wires are checked and all the valves are checked, the flow has already been replaced and the controls on the board have disappeared and the engine is running without errors, even when it adds gas, but when driving rapidly, it unfortunately falls into the emergency mode and again the same messages on the board and error p2263. Unfortunately, it is impossible to accelerate the car because it is in emergency mode.

Hello, the problem is solved and the first post answers everything. The same errors, the same problems, after replacing the EGR cooler, there was still no power and I did not find the EGR cooler flap and it turned out that it fell into the turbine from the hot side as a colleague in the first post, the EGR flap was found in the turbine on the hot side and blocked the turbine, in my case, the flap was in three parts fell apart. Hello, I had the same problem in Vivaro 2.0 DCI. With a higher load, it caused an injection fault and check the exhaust system. Error number P2263.
It turned out that the cable from the pear to the EGR flap is broken.

Gentlemen, I have the same problem.
I've been fighting for a week now.
    New injectors, turbo after regeneration,
    EGR new Pierburg,
    new EGR cooler, Nissens
and it keeps crashing while accelerating p2263.
Is this broken flap from the photo from the EGR cooler?
    Do I understand correctly?

    I corrected the spelling.

    Exactly from the EGR cooler

    Added after 5 [minutes]:

Buddy, if you have an old EGR cooler, check if the flap is still there, if it's not there, it must be somewhere, and if it's still there and the turbine is after regeneration and the EGR cooler is intact and the cable from the pear inch in the EGR, it's probably some kind of vacuum sensor crazy, from what I remember there are two or three with easy access, but then you have to have a replacement because it's a waste of money.

There is this flap in the old radiator, but mine is 2.5 cm and the one from a friend a few posts above is 3.5. I have also replaced all the sensors and it's still the same, my hands are falling off.

If it is smaller than your friend's, maybe this piece is somewhere in the ducts, blocking the negative pressure or air flow. On the other hand, put your finger into the turbine from the cold side, there is a plastic pipe there, and check if it rotates forward and backward without blocking (just not with the engine running, hehe). It seemed to be OK for me, but I did it and then I felt that sometimes something was blocking the rotor and rubbing it. It's hard to get your fingers in there, but it can be done without major disassembly.

The issue has already been resolved, the engine controller was damaged😃

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around error P2263 in a 2013 Vivaro 2.0 CDI, indicating issues with the turbo system and EGR cooler flap. Users report symptoms such as loss of power, emergency mode activation, and persistent error messages related to injection and exhaust systems. Common solutions include replacing the EGR cooler and checking for debris, particularly the EGR flap, which may have fallen into the turbine. Several users confirmed that the EGR flap can block the turbine, leading to similar issues. Others mentioned checking vacuum lines and sensors as potential troubleshooting steps. Ultimately, some resolved the issue by replacing damaged components, including the engine controller.
