Okay, first the description of the problem:
-When turning on the computer after the night (sometimes also after the monitor goes into sleep mode during the day) the monitor blinks instead of turning on normally. You can't turn it off with the button then, and turning on the PC first and then the monitor also has no effect. Blinks so that the image appears for 2 seconds and then disappears. After rebooting the PC when it is already working, the flashing does not occur.
-Often when playing, e.g. in CS:GO, the graphics card seems to cut off the signal to the monitor and then the sound from CS:GO is jammed, but after 5 seconds it returns to normal, although the card turned off twice during the game (sound from the game looped, the sound from TS3 was working normally) and it didn't want to go back to working and a reset was needed.

    My attempts at diagnosis:
-I connected the HDMI cable instead of D-SUB - the problem persisted.
-I connected an old computer instead of mine - the problem persisted.
-After disconnecting the D-SUB/HDMI cable, the monitor normally turns on and shows that it is looking for a signal (then somehow the monitor works normally...)

    My gear (already has some):
    i5-3350P processor
    GTX 650 Ti graphics card
Antec VP 500 power supply (yes, I know it's too powerful for that)

Thanks in advance for your help, I have no idea what's going wrong.

And you may have a different HDMI or D-SUB cable, it is possible that you have a short circuit or a break somewhere.

Ok, but I'm asking if you have any other cable, not a socket. It's possible that the cable itself is damaged.

Well, I don't, I only have these 2 cables and there is a problem on both of them

    Hello,

I have exactly the same problem.
The only thing I was able to determine was that the problem was definitely in the monitor itself. The same thing happens when connected to a laptop with a different HDMI cable.

Turning on the monitor for 10 minutes in front of the computer helps. (As if something had to warm up).

I had a similar situation, in my case it turned out that the monitor's power supply had to be opened, one capacitor was slightly swollen, it was enough to replace it, the new one cost 85 groszy or something and everything works as it should. In fact, the hardest job was opening the power supply and taking out what's inside to see the individual elements in peace, but I saw some Russian instructions on YouTube (although it was a slightly different "part" for him) :)
Of course, before the robot, it would be best to first connect the screen to another working power supply to make sure. I've been doing this in the dark for a while.

I hope the diagnosis is correct.

The diagnosis is accurate, although I came to it myself a long time ago, I had a different power supply that matched and it works :D .
I feel stupid for not checking the power supply...

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with the LG 22EA53 monitor, specifically persistent flickering and abrupt turn-offs. Users report that the monitor fails to turn on properly after sleep mode or overnight, exhibiting a blinking screen for a few seconds before losing signal. Attempts to diagnose the problem included switching from D-SUB to HDMI cables, but the issue persisted. One user identified that the problem likely lies within the monitor itself, as it also occurred when connected to a different laptop. A potential solution involved inspecting the monitor's power supply, where a swollen capacitor was found and replaced, resolving the issue. Users emphasized the importance of checking the power supply before concluding that the monitor is faulty.
