Good morning,
DEFRO OPTIMA KOMFORT PLUS boiler. Single-family house.
What temperature should be set on the controller if we have about 0 degrees outside?
For example, is 37-40 too little for continuous boiler operation for 2 weeks?
Should I increase the temperature on the controller from time to time?
Someone said the temperature should be set to 50 all the time.
I am asking for a hint.

The right temperature is one that ensures thermal comfort for users, one that is optimal for the boiler and optimal for burning the fuel used. Wood and coal burning preferably high temperatures (the highest efficiency of the boiler), and we have a sufficiently high return temperature. But in many cases it will be too hot at home, then the solution is to use a four-way valve. 37-40 degrees is the temperature of fuel pickling, little heat, the fuel also decreases, the furnace does not work efficiently, it is most susceptible to low-temperature corrosion which shortens its life.

Exactly on the boiler you should keep the temperature quite high all the time around 60-70C for the boiler the best but you should have how to regulate the temperature in the apartment e.g. through a 3D valve (not 4D I do not recommend). I have the same boiler, I installed thermostatic valves on all radiators, of course, properly positioned for the room, three-way valve. The temperature on the stove was kept 60 degrees for 50 degrees radiators. The 35-degree floor paddle for this 300-liter tank heats up to 58 degrees. House 180 m2 insulated with 15 cm styrofoam wool in the attic 45 cm, piles in it from above with coal and wood traditionally because it is not going to control burning wood from above but this is the detail. I recommend thermostatic valves for comfort and economy. Greetings .
