Hello, I got such a tomtom XXL hung on the "tomtom" logo, this is the standard HDD Low level format, then SDFormater and clear flash and then navcore installation. Nothing helped. The reset also did not do anything. Fat32 format and different software versions do nothing. I am trying to throw the reset bootloader and navi hangs on the bootloader update logon. I can't do anything about it. My question is how to go about it? What is responsible for loading the bootloader?

I replaced the memory chip and it didn't work. Is the bootloader loaded into the CPU or is there a separate chip?

The problem is not with navcor. I downloaded through TTHome and not only a hundred different versions.
Even when I clean flash and turn on navi, it hangs. I can see that until today the volumes are not fully decoded :)

If you think so ... this navcore includes a full set of software with a bootloader.

You don't have to download a hundred different versions, but the one that is right. But since you know better ...

That's how I downloaded the one and it doesn't work. My question where is the bootloader sitting? Because I think the problem lies here.

Since that didn't help, to flash replacement.

See more THIS and if it doesn't help, collapsed memory.

Respect, please, the navcore worked and the device started normally.
    What is navcore?
Thanks mate, respect for you :ok:

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a TomTom XXL device that is stuck on the startup logo. The user has attempted various troubleshooting methods, including HDD low-level formatting, using SDFormater, performing a clean flash, and installing different versions of navcore, but none have resolved the issue. The user suspects the problem may lie with the bootloader and inquires about its location, questioning whether it is integrated into the CPU or stored on a separate chip. Responses suggest that the correct navcore version is crucial, and there are indications that memory replacement may be necessary if the device remains unresponsive.
