Is burning 13l of gas / 100km a standard, if not, how to reduce / adjust it, or just a visit to the appropriate workshop?

My octavia 1.6 in the city smokes up to 13l / 100km, while on the road fuel consumption drops to about 8.5-9l / 100km
So if it's this city don't panic, you're driving for free anyway :)
I will add that when I step on it sharply, the temporary consumption displays up to 40l / 100km

Edek, in such a cow and around the city? It's almost a luxury.

There is no way to change, because I have already 'caught' it :D The problem is that he smokes 13 on the road, not in the city, the fork was at 8, I know it's a 'cow' but a luxury, how much space for a bar ......

If on the road that's a lot. Something can not be seen what installation, what components. The lambda probe is operational?

Edek, open the diamond about what you have installed from the gas works.

Show what errors in the ECU, what the learned value for lambda looks like.
Golf 4 1.6 8V burned me in a mixed cycle 10. Route 7/8 and around the city 12.
The wife's Octavia 2.0 8V had the same fuel consumption, or at least it felt like it was going and wanted to go.
In general, everything ok with the car?

Normal combustion for the city. On the road, 9 should be. I had and I know how he smoked

Not everything is fine, because he smokes hard after approx. 30 seconds. It looks as if he would not smoke at the start of all pots, cables mentioned above. Heck, you ask me for data about which I know nothing  Interestingly, it is the same on petrol and on gas!

Ntc may be dead and he's on the rich. Check the value with a tester

I don't think it will work without visiting a specialist!

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the fuel consumption of a 1997 VW Passat B5 with a 1.6 engine running on LPG, where the user reports a consumption of 13L/100km on the road, which is considered high. Other participants share their experiences, noting that similar vehicles, like the Octavia and Golf, have lower consumption rates, especially on highways. Suggestions for troubleshooting include checking the lambda probe, ECU errors, and the NTC sensor, as well as considering a visit to a specialist for further diagnosis. The consensus indicates that while 13L/100km may be acceptable in city driving, it is excessive for highway conditions.
