Hello, today I have connected the interface with the autocom program.
He found an error P0670 - Module no. 1 of the auxiliary candle, electrical fault, permanent.
I checked the candles and they all have 0.9Ohm, they are functional.
I suspect the glow plug relay. Just where is he?
    Above the driver's legs
I will check the voltage on the plugs tomorrow after disconnecting the engine temperature sensor

On the autocom, he gives the temperature well on two liquid sensors.
I also did a candle heating test and the switch seems to be ticking but on the plugs the voltage does not appear except for a constant 0.5v
Maybe the contacts burned out in the relay.
He'll measure it with a meter and take it apart.

Maybe a contact on the relay, maybe a break in the circuit between the relay and the candles or no power supply to the working contact, i.e. there is no voltage on the relay so there is nothing to give.
Write to others where this relay is.
Give me a picture of the relay.
There should probably be a relay there which supplies each candle separately, so there is no power supply.

Well, I checked by autocom candle heating fast and slow heating and two relays are above the driver's legs depending on which mode I choose.
Access to them is after removing the glove box under the steering wheel.
But they seem to be in working order. And secondly, there is an error in the candle heating module, which means that it is the one under the fuse box under the hood. I will buy a new one and see it

So that's how I bought this relay today and replaced it but it didn't work, I still get the same error.
I checked two relays for heating candles and they are both functional. And on the pin supplying the relay there is voltage after turning the ignition switch 12v.
    Where to look further ??
I checked all fuses with the meter and they are ok in the box under the hood and in the cabin.

I also checked the wiring harness from the module for the fuse box today and it is functional. But there is no +12 on the thick cable to the module when calling the circuit test through the interface

Finally a problem has been solved.
So I'll write maybe someone will use it.
The culprit was a 50A fuse stuck by someone in the wrong place

    Hello
I have another problem about glow plugs so I continue this topic.
So after replacing this module and putting the fuse in the right place, the system worked, the candles were in good working order.
But for me in vw golf v 1.9tdi bls there are 5v glow plugs from what I know.
And when I measured the voltage on the candle pipe after turning the key was 12v Should it be like this or is something damaged?
Because yesterday I connected the interface and there were 3 errors regarding the 2,3,4 glow plug and after I measure the resistance meter it actually appears that they are burnt.
And which company of new candles do you recommend NGK, BOSCH, BERU?

    I recommend NGK.
You go to the store and choose candles for the engine model.
Open the old relay and show its electronics from the inside.

NO I know that they match the engine it is obvious they are 5v
And the module was chosen based on the old one.
And that's why I was surprised that candles were damaged like tools 3, one is working.

Can you show the center of the old relay?

And what do you need the interior of the module for ??

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around diagnosing an electrical fault in a VW Golf V 1.9 TDI, specifically error code P0670 related to the glow plug relay. The user initially checked the glow plugs, which showed a resistance of 0.9 Ohm, indicating they were functional. Subsequent tests revealed a lack of voltage at the plugs, leading to suspicions about the relay. After identifying the location of the relays above the driver's legs and checking their functionality, the user replaced the glow plug relay but continued to receive the same error. Further investigation revealed a 50A fuse incorrectly placed, which was the root cause of the issue. After correcting the fuse placement, the system functioned properly, although the user noted that the glow plugs should be 5V, while they measured 12V at the glow plug pipe. The user also inquired about recommendations for replacement glow plugs, considering brands like NGK, BOSCH, and BERU.
