Hello everyone, the problem is this: the fuel gauge does not work, it doesn't move at all. The indicator test does not start it either, the engine is postponed the same. The meter is certainly good, connected in another car works. The counter from the second car does not work either. What could be the reason for this failure? Thanks for the help in advance.

What errors do you have in DIM and CEM?

There are no errors in DIM and CEM, the only two errors are in SWM (DD10, DD11 communication between control units communication faulty) and in ECM (0578 cruise control faulty signal)

check the rectangular plug behind the alarm clock, maybe pin bending will solve the problem

Is this the factory counter from this car?

The connector is OK, the original meter ... in total banal questions.

Added after 3 [hours] 26 [minutes]:

No communication between the controllers in the steering wheel electronics, what can cause DD10 and DD11 errors here? Maybe it interferes with the indicator.

It is strange that with the test of clocks, only this one indicator does not work. Are these communication errors permanent or sometimes present?

Since the indicator on the test does not work, it is simple, you have a broken meter.

Apparently obvious but wrote that in the second car this indicator works. These lack of communication errors may be the most important.

Then put another counter in your car and see. The indicator test you do in DIM not in CEM.

    Besides what

The counter in another car works correctly, permanent errors and "steering electronics" so called SWM Delphi DS 150.
Consciousness stream: the counter from another V50 also does not work in this car.

Hello, buddy Slevy70, you came to what was the cause of the indicator failure, I have the same problem

I dealt with the same topic, the fault turned out to be the float in the fuel tank "worn path", after replacing everything returned to normal.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a non-functional fuel gauge issue in a 2006 Volvo V50 2.0D. The user reports that the fuel gauge does not move, and the indicator test fails to activate. The meter has been confirmed to work in another vehicle, indicating a potential communication issue. Responses suggest checking for errors in the DIM, CEM, and SWM control units, with specific errors noted in SWM (DD10, DD11) and ECM (0578). Suggestions include inspecting the rectangular plug behind the dashboard and considering the possibility of a faulty float in the fuel tank. A user with a similar issue resolved it by replacing the worn float, restoring normal function.
