    Hello
The second year I have a boiler with a screw feeder for coal. This year, there are so large sinters that after one day of burning, the sinter reaches from the bottom of the hearth to the deflector and it is very difficult to feed peas. Maybe someone knows what the reason is and what parameters are best to control so that the sinter is not. Regards Jacek

The reason is eco-pea coal not to bake.

Thank you for your response. I also thought so a bit because a year ago there was no problem. Can you write something closer about what is wrong with this fuel?

    Thank you
Is there any way to minimize it at least?

Buy eco-pea coal of the lower type, e.g. 32 (i.e. low calorie) and mix with what you have - at least the sinters will be smaller and may allow the feeder to work.

Air. Too much air - more sintered.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around sinter build-up issues in Pleszewskie boilers using eco-pea coal with a screw feeder. The user, Jacek, reports significant sintering after one day of operation, making coal feeding difficult. Responses indicate that the high calorific value of the coal contributes to increased sintering. Suggestions include using lower-calorie eco-pea coal (type 32) and mixing it with the current fuel to reduce sinter size. Additionally, excessive air supply is noted as a factor that exacerbates sintering problems.
