    Hello all!
I have a damaged siemens sid803 engine driver by bad bdm connection (the adapter unfortunately has pins on the reverse)
What do I have to do to get the second engine controller I bought with the immobilizer of the key? I heard that it is enough to solder the EPROM memory cube.
I am not quite sure which is the bone so I send the picture.
I will be very grateful for all information regarding the siemens sid803 driver replacement procedure

    Driver knelt by reading?
If you read the entire driver through BDM, it should be enough to clone the replacement.

Yes, the controller fell during reading. You can not connect with him at all. I measured the power consumption and is 0.33A.

Translate the eeprom and the car goes on.
As for more information, you would have to be too light :)

Search and you will find, Flash is marked on the photo but he does not interest you.

If the driver is of the same numbers and has a soft compatible with what was either a manual or an automatic machine, all you need is an eeprom 95320

Thank you for answering this EEPROM 95320 is from the inside of the driver. On Tuesday, I will have the driver ordered. I will inform you how things look

If you have a programmer, first read the eprom content. As if something happened during soldering.

Hello all. ECU sid803 has been replaced. EEPROM 95320 too. There was only a problem with synchronizing ECU with ECM. the car reads the key but the engine can not be fired yet. Does anyone know how to synchronize the ECU with the ECM?

I did not have to do synchronization as many times as I did.
    What does ECU say?

If the computer was from this car, synchronization should not be needed. Switch on the reading from the EEPROM. The driver was with the same Volvo numbers? I wonder if other software can be the cause.

Read EEPROM this 95320. This is for sure C336 and not C326?

    So this is c326.
I do not know how to read EPROM this 95320. I only have a Bdm100 adapter

Well, you have a serious problem because it is necessary to read / write 95320 and motorola from CEM for synchronization.

Thank you for all the helpful information. I will call you tomorrow for service and I will ask you what is the cost of synchronization with them.
Does anyone know where to find the CEM number?

Franek better go to the service on the carriage, or send it to someone with the necessary equipment because it looks worse, and do not touch it CEM.Pozatym there you still need to add something to synchro not only CEM and 95320.

    Hello everyone!
After a hard struggle the engine was started.
I suspect the issue of software was the cause of yesterday's failure.
Today came the second driver from my car which was of German origin as well as mine. After soldering my first eeprom 95320 and after inserting the key to the ignition, zero errors! The engine started.

Thank you all for all the help and all information.
    Greetings!!!

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the replacement of a Siemens SID803 engine controller for a Volvo S40/V50, focusing on issues related to immobilizer synchronization and EPROM memory transfer. The original controller was damaged due to a bad BDM connection, prompting the user to seek guidance on transferring the EEPROM (specifically the 95320 chip) from the old controller to the new one. Participants advised that if the replacement controller has compatible software and numbers, cloning the EEPROM should suffice. However, synchronization with the Engine Control Module (ECM) was necessary after the replacement, as the user encountered a communication error (C336) initially. Ultimately, after addressing software compatibility and successfully transferring the EEPROM, the engine was started without errors.
