    Hello, I have a Citroen C2 with a 1.1 60HP engine.
The problem is that the car fires normally but when adding gas it reaches 2500 and it does not go any further and the revs start to wave.
I have already replaced the candles, the ignition coil, the lambda probe, throttles, the shaft position sensor and the gas passed and then the same, I do not know what maybe someone has some ideas, I'm waiting for a reply.

Check the driver maybe some cold February are. What errors shows when connected to a computer.

    Zero errors on the computer.
Which drivers are you talking about?

The engine controller check the cubes at the sensors - the wires in the cubes are often damaged

    I'm gonna go check.
But I don't understand why it runs normally at idle speed.
And which of the sensors determines the dose of fuel and air?

The lambda probe on the exhaust manifold can only work in the low speed range and at higher revs it shows a lean mixture and the controller then doses more fuel or the coolant temperature sensor may be damaged and the engine gets more fuel

This may be possible because there is fuel smell from the muffler

Check how many wires the probe has and what colors, then I will tell you how to measure it with a multimeter.

The probe on the intake manifold - green plug
    Green orange white yellow
Probe behind the catalyst - blue plug
    Gray brown white green

I am not sure because these colors are a bit strange, but I bet the color green. Yes . For a test, try unplugging the plug from the temperature sensor and fire up if something changes

One more thing comes to mind if you do not have a dirty fuel filter, maybe your fuel pump ends its life and does not give enough pressure and at idle speed is ok, and the higher pressure is too low and injections instead of dosing with fuel

There is no fuel filter and the pump gives 3.5 bar.
What do you think about the carbon filter?

Rather, it should not have such a big effect, and the pressure you write is at the pump outlet or on the injection rail.

On the supply hose at the strip

I checked everything on the poll.
    Nothing else comes to mind.

Tell me what you think about the immobilizer because I heard that these models have immo so that it will smoke anyway

Usually like imo. it is blocked, it does not start at all or it will fire and go out after about a second. Anyway, it does not indicate any error, it should be ok. And a colleague checked for any leaks in the intake manifold.

Or maybe the exhaust is blocked?

Hello. Was it possible to locate the fault. I have exactly the same symptoms. I would be grateful for the tip. best regards

Hi . I have exactly the same problem as the car is jammed at 2500 RPM and it will not go further, but I get an error: antipollution system also, most likely, the catalyst and filters, etc., would have to be changed

A year ago I had this problem. 2.5 thousand revolutions and cut off the fuel, it jerked.
I did not mechanically repair anything.
I poured the fuel conditioner, poured over 98 gasoline and stopped refueling at cheap stations. After 3 days, the car repaired itself and this defect did not appear.
    best regards

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Citroen C2 with a 1.1 60HP engine experiencing a problem where the engine revs are stuck at 2500 RPM and fluctuate when accelerating. The owner has replaced several components including spark plugs, ignition coil, lambda probe, throttle, and position sensor, yet the issue persists. Suggestions from other users include checking for damaged wiring in the engine controller, assessing the lambda probe's functionality, and considering the coolant temperature sensor's impact on fuel mixture. There are also mentions of potential issues with the fuel pump, carbon filter, immobilizer, and exhaust blockage. Some users shared similar experiences, with one noting that using high-quality fuel and a fuel conditioner resolved their issue.
