Hello. I have a gas boiler one function thermostat GCO-13-00 and the original room thermostat for it has been damaged. However, I have a C3 new thermostat from KG Elektronik. Three cables for controlling the black +, brown R, blue - thermostat come out of the boiler. Whereas in the thermostat I have contacts 1 (NC), 2 (COM), 3 (NO). Here it is known that in pairs either 1 and 2 or 2 and 3. I just do not know which colors from the boiler to connect to the thermostat. How should I connect this thermostat correctly to this boiler?

I also have a termet boiler and from what I remember the room controller is connected with two wires to the RT connector on the back of the boiler plate so it's strange that you have 3 wires.

Well, a little age this model, but the electronics from this oven panel comes out with a three-core cable and in fact the original thermostat was connected to these three. Here I have a dilemma because I heard that I have a plus and minus connected to this thermostat I am writing about. But it doesn't work. The stove, on the other hand, starts when I connect the black + and brown R. But the stove seems not to work with the thermostat but the temperature on the stove suggests it. And I was suggested that just plus and minus connect hmm. So this brown R seems to matter only how hmm do jumper R and black + and use blue -?

You connect black and brown, i.e. + and R. Ask the central knob on the boiler temp 60 deg. C it comes longer !! Read how the boiler should work with the room controller.

And you can give a model of this original thermostat.
According to the instructions of your furnace, only two wires are used for the thermostat.

You can also look there and see what wires are connected to the RT contacts.

My boiler is an older model has these three wires, maybe a third was needed for the original controller. But it turned out that in fact the boiler started working properly after connecting the black + and brown R, and like a friend bro2004 wrote to set it to 60 degrees and it works :) Many thanks for the right advice :) I also greet everyone for your interest :)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting a KG Elektronik C3 thermostat to a GCO-13-00 gas boiler, which has three wires: black (+), brown (R), and blue (-). Users clarify that the original thermostat was connected using these three wires, but only two are typically needed for operation. The consensus is to connect the black wire to the thermostat's COM (2) and the brown wire to either NC (1) or NO (3), depending on the desired function. After following this wiring, the boiler operates correctly when set to 60 degrees Celsius. The blue wire is not used in this configuration.
