Hello, in the phone Samsung Galaxy S7 (Android 7.0) I do not work properly for any phone recording program. What can be a problem that only records my voice and I can't hear the caller's voice?
Earlier on the phone Sony Xperia Z (android 6.0) I did not have this problem and everything worked as it should.
Do I have to turn on anything else on this phone for it to record properly?

And there is no such option in TouchWiz (Samsung system overlay)?

Change the recording source in the program to 'Voice Call', probably the default is the microphone.

I will add to the topic so as not to repeat myself.
I don't have any advice, just a question.
In the case of CAT S61, the advice from @plustek, unfortunately, did not work for me.
Recording at first worked when I bought this phone. It recorded me and the interlocutor very well.
But after some android update, it stopped recording the caller. I've tried various recording apps.
Somewhere I heard that the android blocked it and you can't hear the interlocutor.
Now a question for those who know: Will rooting the phone help in this matter?

You can't do it without root.
I don't know how in this phone model - it helped me:
Root > Magisk Manager > Call Recorder

Unfortunately my CAT S61... is not rooted for it.
All the advice I found on the internet for rooting this device doesn't work.
I guess that's some crazy advice.

I guess I'll have to carry two phones with me.

It's not possible. Root. Although there are already root locks in newer sofas. Don't fall for these recording apps. It won't pass.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with recording telephone conversations on Android devices, specifically the Samsung Galaxy S7 and CAT S61. Users report that recording apps only capture their voice and not the caller's, a problem not experienced on older devices like the Sony Xperia Z. Suggestions include checking the recording source settings in the app, as well as the possibility that Android updates may have restricted recording capabilities. Rooting the device is mentioned as a potential solution, with references to using Magisk Manager and specific call recording applications. However, some users express difficulties in rooting their devices, leading to frustration and the need to carry multiple phones.
