LG and Samsung promote the use of linear compressors in their products.
The main advantage of this solution is the fact that manufacturers give the compressor a 10-year warranty plus in theory, during normal operation, it is quieter and more economical.

I wonder if it is worth to pay extra PLN 500-600 for the difference from models with a traditional compressor?

As it needs a built-in fridge, if I want a linear compressor, only Samsung is at stake and, for example, the following model:

They give a 10-year warranty because they know they can not be damaged. What will you do as a refrigerator after 4-5 years will only be suitable for recycling or the cost of repair will exceed half of the new value?

After the consultations, I give up both the linear compressor and the refrigerator in favor of the free-standing Bosch.

And you can write why you let go of the linear compressor? And why Bosch?
I just finished my 24-year-old Zanussi Z 622/9 K, so I am looking for a successor, we liked the inverter refrigerators because of the theoretical durability. Why is not it worth it?
edit: I have already found good info about inverter refrigerators, I will also let go:

Inverter refrigerators have more complex electronics (and more expensive). So what if we have a 10-year warranty on the compressor, which is very durable. And we have more electronics, which likes to be damaged.
Of course, no one forbids buying them, just what is the meaning of spending more money, and so after the warranty will start to trouble.

I decided on the following model:
    Bosch fridge

In terms of additional and more importantly meaningful features, it beats the competition at this price. And I also have info that quite well when it comes to failure.

LG gives the door spacer through the service under warranty. And when it comes to linear compressors, I did the measurement and with the compressor switched on it went out to 46W (like a bulb in an old refrigerator). During thawing (defrost) the heater takes 260W but that's a few minutes every few days - that is, the line definitely beats the usual inverter on the head. The fact is that some are buzzing - but this electromagnet is not surprising.

Yes, I agree in part. It's like the square is a rectangle, but not every rectangle is a square.
The linear compressor is an inverter compressor because of the power supply but the inverter compressor is not always linear and here, for example, the difference between the Samsung compressor which is inverter but it is certainly not linear.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the value of investing an additional PLN 500-600 for a refrigerator equipped with an inverter linear compressor, particularly from brands like LG and Samsung. Users highlight the 10-year warranty on these compressors, suggesting durability and efficiency. However, concerns are raised about the complexity of inverter technology, which may lead to potential electronic failures after the warranty period. Some participants ultimately decide against linear compressors, opting for traditional models like Bosch, citing better reliability and features. The conversation also touches on the differences between linear and traditional inverter compressors, emphasizing the need for careful consideration before making a purchase.
