Hello. I have a Citroen xsara picasso 1.8 petrol, 2001. The problem is air conditioning. I found many posts on various forums but I couldn't find the answer ... I have a car recently imported from France. You can see that nobody cares about maintenance or filter replacement. Today I changed the cabin filter, with air conditioning, the sealed system was checked. But the climate doesn't start. I have a climatronic. I found that you need to check the F36 fuses are missing, so I put it in, F40 is operational, I also read about D but I do not know where to look ... I unplugged the cube from the sensor on the four-pin radiator. I read that after bridging 1-4, the compressor should turn on, nothing ... I measured the voltage on the working engine on each 0V pin ... Above this cube there is a box with 3 relays, the relays are working ... What to check and where? How to spike a compressor sharply to check if it works?

And one more question, if I give the voltage instead of pin 1, which is missing only with, for example, battery on pin 4, the compressor will respond? I want to rule out whether the compressor is functional ... Because in the workshop they wanted to replace it immediately, so I wrapped myself on my heel :)

Fuse F38 energizes the air conditioning pressure switch on pin 2.
The compressor clutch power is from BSI from the FD fuse.
There should be two fuse boxes in the cabin and one under the hood.
If you want to exclude the compressor, power the clutch coil straight from the battery plus. It should then tick and when you start the engine it should feel cool, but not too long so that the system pressure does not burst.
Why don't you connect it to the computer and see what hurts the air conditioning?

I do not have the F38 fuse in, I put it on and check it. In the cabin I know where one fuse box is, and the other one, I do not know anything ... As for bsi, where is it and this fuse FD sory but I do not know, I have XP for a short time. I wanted to check the coil on the compressor, but I cannot locate the wire or the ankle, nothing can be seen from the bottom of the car ... There is no good computer fixture in Przemyśl. Every half of the car wants to replace ... That's why I want to find out what's going on.

grala1 thanks a lot! The problem was the lack of the F38 fuse after installing and switching on the car on the air conditioning panel, the clutch and the compressor start and the car is nice. However, there is one more small problem with the air conditioning, the cooler fan does not turn on ... It will be chilly while driving because the rush of air will cool the cooler, but linden when parked ... What about the fan, where and what to check to make it move?

After getting into the radiator fan, it turned out that the plug at the engine was completely tarnished. After cleaning, the fan turns on and the air conditioning works properly. Thanks for the help :) I close the topic

    I'll play the topic ...
After two months, the factor practically escaped from the system and the air conditioning hardly cools down. I have a question if there are any nephralgic places in this car where the system usually unseals so that I can remove the leak myself ... It's not a big hole because it held two bellows. I will be grateful for any suggestions :)
