Hello everyone, I am struggling with a Bova bus 12 year of production 2003 engine from DAF 95 The problem is with the air conditioning namely the air compressor does not start (briefly works) from what I deduced there is no signal after pressing the air conditioning start button on the panel. I would need a wiring diagram, description of fuses, certainly such materials would be helpful :)

Generally, the situation looks like the relay from the compressor three power supplies when I plug the indicator in the control pin the compressor and windmills start

the scheme will be similar to a car with two basic schemes: manual and automatic control.
For the climate to switch on there must be freon pressure in the system. There is a sensor for this and you have to start with the signal from it

The pressure is as it should be and the pressure sensors work there on the principle that if there is pressure the sensor has a transition if there is no pressure there is no transition. They are fine. I am wondering now about whether the air conditioning panel is the whole controller or somewhere along the way it goes through some controller because the problem is that the relay from the compressor coil has 3 pluses and when I give a light on the control cable the compressor and fans start

An ohmmeter can check if the wires from the pressure sensor reach the panel.
If they come, the panel does it for the controller, if you don't have to look for where the sensor wires end.
The air conditioning controller may be in the engine control unit.
Maybe it is possible to display the error code on the climate panel.
I added a file about WABCO air conditioning on buses including BOVA

I will check where these factors are connected. Unfortunately, I tried to call errors or I am doing something wrong or this driver has no remote error calling function (on the Wabco website I managed to get out that it wasn't possible in every version)

Buddy Wenek ... there are several configurations of the air conditioning system on this bus, here is one of them Fatura version 1.

Or maybe the air conditioning does not turn on simply because it is cold? Well, unless you turn it on with the defrost button, then it should turn on.

Hart3 thanks to everything has become clearer :)
Do not understand only one thing in diagram 1.6 there is a bridge with diodes under point 5, for what purpose is it there, I do not know so that I would ask you to explain it?

NUMBER3 I also thought about it and I warmed up the interior of the bus but it did not help as to the outside temperature, we have to wait for warmer days :P

From this bridge, one diode is used to extinguish the clutch coil arc to protect the relay contact.

Well, just heating the interior will not always help - I had Setra with a driver such as bovie are used and there the air conditioning switched on only at some 17-19 degrees outside.
Anyway, in newer ones it also switches on at similar temperatures. But to turn on even in such a cold as now you have to press this button with water droplets - then air conditioning comes with heating.
You can always look for the outside temperature sensor (in bovie it was probably under the front bumper more or less under the steering wheel) and heat it up, but the earlier way to check better.

In fact, you may be right with this outside temperature, but now that I have diagrams, it's downhill ;) on Wednesday I will rummage and let me know what it looks like :)

Hello again, the air conditioning was efficiently overcome thanks to your help :) but problems continue, namely the floor vents do not work (those that go along the entire length of the bus on both sides) the parking heater works heats up and none of the windmills starts, frankly speaking I don't even know how to start them or should they react to the potentiometer on air conditioning panel or potentiometer located on the dashboard

There are vents inside the blower and in front a heater with a blower. I wonder if they should start together with the front vent or only after the start of the parking heater. The owner has recently bought a vehicle and does not even know how it should be started

So yes, everything has already been checked and there is one unknown which regulates and starts the floor fans or the air conditioning and heating panel or the potentiometer on the board which at the moment regulates the power of the windscreen. In the diagram it looks like this (1. PWM signal) it is not outlined from which controller the signal is sent

If I remember correctly (and I think so), those air-conditioning controllers started the fans in the floor.

The potentiometer only starts the front fan.

The air conditioning controller starts 4 floor blowers and 6 roof blowers.
You have fuses and relays for the floor blowers in the cabinet on the ceiling and the roof fans in the engine compartment.

All blowers are the same Burns so you can swap. They have built-in speed controllers with an integrated circuit.
It is unlikely that all 4 blowers / fuses / relays will die so I would look for a problem in the controller. And do the blowers start when you turn on the emergency heating? Such a key with a red security pin.

Have you checked if the blowers have electricity? - They're in trunks under plastic housings on the ceiling.

Hello. Old topic, but current for me. Buddy, can you tell me what was in this movie? I came to the same ..

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting the air conditioning system of a 2003 Bova bus equipped with a DAF 95 engine. The main issue is that the air conditioning compressor does not start, indicating a lack of signal from the control panel. Participants suggest checking the relay and wiring connections, particularly from the pressure sensor to the control panel. They discuss the necessity of freon pressure for the system to activate and the potential role of the air conditioning controller, which may be integrated into the engine control unit. Additional issues arise regarding the operation of floor vents and the relationship between the air conditioning and heating systems. The conversation includes insights on the configuration of the air conditioning system, the function of diodes in the circuit, and the importance of temperature conditions for system activation.
