    Hello, I have a problem.
This morning I installed vista home premium 64bit SP2 on a Windows computer. Then drivers and GTA 5.
When I started the game I got an error:
    Mfreadwrite.dll not found
I uploaded this file to the system and the next error popped up another error:
    Api-ms-win-eventing-classic provider l1-1-0.dll not found
And here is the problem I tried to upload this file, but the game does not see it. Nowhere on the internet can I find how to fix it.

    Corrected. swiercm.

Yes, the original game and as for the system installed those patches that I know about.
I will say that I have been playing gta for about a year but I had a virus which ended in the pc format

Yes net framework 4.6 I installed
Directx and vcredist also (installed with the game).
And as for these libraries is how you can upload them because on the rockstar site there are only links for windows 8, 8.1, 10
And under viste I found only some media player.

    Try this file (attachment), copy to the C: \ Windows \ System32 and C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64 folders

    Install Microsoft Visual C ++ 2008 SP1 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5582

Download the SocialClub installation and reinstall: http://patches.rockstargames.com/prod/socialclub/Social%20Club%20v1.1.5.8%20Setup.exe

Social club turns on and works normally and when you should start the game then these errors.
And this dll was already uploaded to system32
nothing worked. But I will screw into this other folder.
A Microsoft Visual C ++ 2008 SP1 I have installed and it is visible in the control panel.

From what you described is a game installed separately not through Steam, so try something like this:

    1. Run the "cmd" command line

    2. Enter the path where the game is installed (by default) "cd c: \ Program Files \ Rockstar Games \ Grand Theft Auto V"

    3. Now enter and run "GTAVLauncher.exe -verify", theoretically it should verify all files from the game and pull the missing ones.

    Something like that pops up
"The name GTAVLauncher.exe -verify is not recognized as an internal command or external executable program or batch file"

Did you enter the game installation path correctly?

Thanks, I actually made a mistake when typing I just don't have cmd experience. We've verified the game data and see if it works

Unfortunately, the verification did not give the same thing

I called rockstar and they told me to send some files

I installed some Vista patch that I got from rockstar and the error from dll changed to "Grand Theft Auto v has stopped working" I don't know what to do next
I reinstalled the game and all directx, mvc etc. I searched google and there is no way to solve the problem.

I have formated my PC install the WIn 10 again and got the CD where my GTA San Andreas is written and put in the CD reader and install the game normally properly. I start the game and then it pop-ups the error like in the first message in this topic, the same problem missing the fucking mfreadwrite.dll file. I download the file from dllinstaller.com and I upload the file but still can't play the game. What is the problem is the game too old to play on Win 10, it is broken or I'm broken because I don't know how to fix the stupid problem. I really want to play the game and do some mafia missions on it like the old times, I'm bored in the quarantine, fuck COVID-19. And sorry for replaying an old topic but this one pop up on google 1 page.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues encountered while trying to run GTA 5 on a Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit SP2 system. The user initially faced a "mfreadwrite.dll not found" error, which was followed by an "api-ms-win-eventing-classic-provider-l1-1-0.dll not found" error after attempting to manually add the missing DLL files. Various suggestions were made, including ensuring all system patches and necessary software like .NET Framework and Visual C++ Redistributables were installed. A link to Rockstar's support page was provided, indicating that the missing DLLs might be related to a damaged Media Feature Pack. The user attempted to verify game files through the command line but continued to experience issues, eventually leading to a "Grand Theft Auto V has stopped working" error after installing a patch from Rockstar. The conversation also included a separate user who faced similar issues with GTA San Andreas on Windows 10, indicating potential compatibility problems with older games on newer operating systems.
