I currently have a HD5000 digital polsat decoder connected to an old Thomson TV with a 28 "picture tube. On the computer I watch terrestrial television (Dipol 44 / 21-60 Tri Digit antenna, USB DVB-T tuner MT4171 MEDIA-TECH). Using TotalMedia 3.5 I can I would like to be able to connect the polsat decoder to the computer and be able to navigate between programs in the same way as I do in the case of a terrestrial tv tuner, and be able to record programs to disk in the computer.
The question is how to connect the HD5000 decoder with a computer (e.g. via USB)? It's not about connecting the monitor itself to make it a substitute for the TV.

    You can e.g.
    1. Using a USB DVR card (Video Grabber) connected to a computer via USB and the decoder using RCA in a video grabber.
    2. Using the PCI-E DVR card - applies to a desktop computer. The card is inserted into a free PCI-E slot. Connect the decoder as in p.1.
    3. Via HDMI but with it is more fun and costs.
    4. This method applies to connecting the decoder to a recorder that accepts HDMI signal.
Using the above methods (except p.4) we get a video and audio signal in a computer where we can watch or record it.

I connected to it various analog cameras that I could save the image with the help of software. The fact that quality did not knock down 720x576.
Similarly, the RCA or EuroScart analog outputs from the HD5000 decoder will be connected to the graber.

    For this you need:
    a) Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0

Something about this device here https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/334145-HDCP-strippers.
There are also problems connecting it to the computer because there should be a USB3.0 port and not every port wants to walk.
    b) HDMI adapter or splitter - why info in the link above.

This version is about ripping the image on a computer in a better quality than the suggestions in p.1 and 2.
