Different generations of Intel processors - how to distinguish them?

I am looking for a board + CPU + ram set.
However, I can't find the current list of Intel processors for socket 1150 and 1151 anywhere. They often write in the specifications in stores:
"processor support 4 gen. i7 / i5 / i3 / Celeron / Pentium"
Intel, however, calls it differently, e.g .:

7th generation is KabyLake
6th generation is SkyLake

What were the generations 5 and 4 called?

Pentium G3460 on socket 1150. Which processor is the next?

Sorry for stupid questions but prices in skelp mislead me.
This G3460 on p. 1150 costs PLN 389 at the moment when the much newer G4560 costs PLN 239.

If I did not read the specifications, I would go to the skelp a short while.

N.vision, I can read comprehension and let me remind you:
that the disc must have: HDMI, DVI-D, D-SUB, 4 x DIMM memory.
I am looking for it. Spreading 4 x 8GB in installments will be more convenient as buying 16GB at a time. HDMI due to the fact that I plan to buy an IPS monitor with HDMI area 24 "and for now I have a Sharp 24" TV with DSUB and HDMI. The only problem is that these D-SUB do not really want to work because I do not have a stationer at home to check it and on laptops there is a problem with native resolution. The screen has 1920x1080 but for thunder I've never been able to set more than 1600x900 and it's still out of focus. I am afraid that after bringing a new CD from the store I will be left without a monitor that's why I choose the set: HDMI / DVI / DSUB.

I have already forgiven myself with boards for 4th and 5th generation processors. Intel HD + 1.7GB + DX11.1 is not enough. Earlier I was preparing for DDR3 1600 memory but it turned out to be in the price of DDR4 so you should also donate.

I don't understand why older equipment is not cheaper!
I also planned to buy the cheapest processor possible so that in the future I could collect $$$ on some 4 core i5 from the lowest regiment.
Price around 800 PLN so I can easily change it one day.
