Hello, I'm thinking about buying T5 / T6, I have a family of 6. I want to buy 8-9 seats and throw what I buy (what it has inside) and put on the back 2 rows of 2 seats so that together it gives me 6.

    A few questions:
    1) Are there any versions of the seats that have large armrests / small tables under the elbow?
    2) Will such a modification require additional tests that will comply with the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure and Construction of May 6, 2016, item 858?
    3) Where to do it, I can't find any workshops other than specializing in conversion into motorhomes for large amounts of money (I would like to allocate max. 15-20 thousand for such conversion).

The only reasonable [cheapest] solution is the purchase of Multivan. You take out the sofa and put in a second set of two armchairs with a table.

Routan falls off, the car will drive as a company one in a week (+ trailer and roof rack often). Multivan, OK, but there are Multivans in a welurze ?, my skin falls off.

This is a typical conversion of a parcel into a passenger car.

Buy the seats from whatever you want and they will fit in and weld the floor skeleton in the workshop.

There is no problem. The reverse is a little more complicated. But since such cars came out, they already have mounting holes.

Hi, once I had a t4 - 9-person shed benches, in their place I put seats from Citroen XM in a red - burgundy veil - 15 years ago no passengers ever said anything for comfort - 4 seats plus activities ... upholstery and kids they will swim and the mother-in-law will sleep halfway to Croatia.
A plant that specializes in patting cars - e.g. a tinsmith if he has this service entered in the US will do everything invoice and with it on review - it will definitely be cheaper than a specialized plant.
PS, in my opinion, no sharan, vivaro, extra bed will meet the requirements of comfort and inserted cash - these seats are stools, seats must be from a passenger car, Ford Mondeo? A relatively American product.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around converting a VW T5/T6 to accommodate a family of six by replacing existing seats with two rows of two seats. Users suggest purchasing a Multivan for its flexibility, as it allows for easy seat modifications. Concerns about compliance with Regulation item 858 and the need for additional testing are raised, with some users indicating that modifications are possible without significant issues. Recommendations include sourcing seats from passenger vehicles for comfort and exploring workshops that specialize in such conversions, as opposed to expensive motorhome conversion specialists. However, a recent comment notes that modifications may no longer be permitted under new regulations.
