Hello, I have a problem with Mercedes actros 4141 EPS gearbox at high outside temperatures while driving is displayed in red GS gearshift failure after switching off the ignition and it was impossible to change the gear the driver stopped, powers the engine, the figure started 2 minutes and it was ok after 2 hours of driving a similar situation but did not stop the engine and only stopped the small teaching passed the large did not appear GS32. The next day it was ok I run but the word GS was displayed in red and after stopping 3 hours large teaching passed but the outside temperature was definitely smaller. Do you have any idea for this failure, I will add that in Bs msm error Bs 0 4047

Thanks buddy we will try to repair it but I still have a question since GS is burning red and gears are falling, something in the module is not happening

I suggest you go to a computer diagnosis then you will have practically everything "on the tray" and so it is a divination of coffee grounds what could happen.

Hello, buddy, the problem is back, it got warm, my gears disappear quite even, N is not displayed, my friend will advise me to pour the Eps module water and so I did the gears, whether the module's fault or another reason

Check all the plugs and the condition of the cables at Eps, treat them with Contact Spray and see if you have any chafing. Copper cables start to become dull when they get wet and lose their properties as a guide - the transition can be but it can not be done with proper operation.

All EPS plugins and connectors have been checked, so I think the driver is still wondering if there are eletkrocewki behind the driver or there is a problem

We tried to change the EPS driver but on the new module we can not carry out a large teaching, we are shown GS 32 the mechanic claims that the clutch should be changed. Finally, we put in the old driver and the teaching passed with the fact that the car was already 4 hours and cool. It can be the fault of oil in chest as it heats up is too rare and does not raise the chest

For the future, however, write what car the question concerns. Actros is already in production for over twenty years, and you can only learn from the 4141 designation that the car is large.

Installation ok only on a hot car teaching does not pass but how cool is ok and the gears sometimes die but as it pours after the drivers water runs and teaching together does not pass is a gs32 error

If you checked the installation with the meter, put it down for a moment, unplug the installation and check with the light bulb - "weaker" wire = less brightness.

And what is the resistance of the intermediate shaft speed sensor measured on the controller connector?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a recurring issue with the Mercedes Actros 4141 EPS gearbox, specifically the GS32 error that appears during high outside temperatures. The user reports that the gearbox fails to shift, displaying a red GS gearshift failure warning. Various suggestions are made, including performing a computer diagnosis, checking the EPS module and its connections, and inspecting the intermediate shaft speed sensor. The user also mentions that the problem seems to resolve temporarily when the vehicle cools down. Further troubleshooting indicates potential issues with the oil viscosity in the gearbox and the need for a clutch replacement. The conversation highlights the importance of checking electrical connections and sensor installations to diagnose the problem effectively.
