Hello, for a long time I see the HM error all the time, texa doesn't tell me much, it normally shows how much air there is in the tanks.
And from replacing the gearbox with the retarder, when I turn on the retarder, it works as if it were only in 1st gear. I don't know how to approach it because it suits to fix it. Any suggestions?

The patient is Mercedes Actros 1844 MP3 year of production 2008
I put HM error photos from TEXA computer and from the car

It's good as if you connected SD.
It looks like an error from the pressure sensor in the left cushion.
Check the cube and wires, replace the sensor with the other cushion.
If it is the other sensor, replace it and calibrate it.

Oki, I will try with the sensor, and what's the SD connection?

HM error as a colleague writes, pressure sensor in the left pillow, or beam to HM. Also pay attention to the right side, there are sometimes swapped cables, and Texa does not always tell the truth. In the retarder I would start by changing the oil. Since there are no errors.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a persistent HM error in a 2008 Mercedes Actros 1844 MP3, with the user seeking solutions after experiencing issues with the retarder functioning as if in first gear. Responses suggest that the HM error may stem from a faulty pressure sensor in the left air cushion, with recommendations to check wiring and possibly replace the sensor. Additionally, it is advised to inspect the right side for swapped cables, as TEXA diagnostics may not always provide accurate information. For the retarder issue, changing the oil is recommended as a preliminary step since no errors are indicated.
