I installed such a monitor set in the flat:

    BCS-0801ME recorder
    KG-DBSHE, KG-V40SL, KG-S-1548 cameras;

For 4 years, the system worked flawlessly, coped with frequent power outages (country house). Unfortunately, something went wrong after the last power off. The recorder began to reset every 2 minutes and the red HDD LED on the front panel began to light up. According to the instructions, it means either disk failure or overflow. The second option is rather dropped because the recorder was in overwrite mode. After connecting the monitor, the configuration screen appeared as it was the first time it was turned on. Preview from all cameras has disappeared.

After logging in, the system showed that the disk status was "OK", it also saw the recording from before the power outage. But the red led was still on. After formatting the disk, the icon disappeared but there is still no camera image.
The recorder sees cameras (an icon appears recording on 8 channels on which there are cameras, on the other there is a red icon but the image is completely black.

The recorder still reboots every 2 minutes, the event log shows information that there is no video for each of the 8 channels, and that the system resets.

How to identify the problem? I don't have a meter but the green LED on the camera power supply is lit. Is it normal for the recorder to be reset every 2 minutes if there is no signal?

Unplug the disk, change the power supply of the recorder, connect the camera to the TV and check if there is a picture (camera power supply also does not hurt to change).
Helpful post? Buy me a coffee.

Continuous restart would indicate overheating but in this model there is probably no fan.

I had such a problem quite recently that the recorder was constantly restarting, replacing the fan took care of the matter.

I checked the meter and the voltage at the cameras is OK.
I also connected cameras to the TV and there is a picture so it looks like a problem with the recorder, the question is what to do next?

Equipment after the warranty so if it burned it will not get worse so I can try to debug unfortunately I do not know how.

In addition, it seems that the recorder is receiving the signal because after connecting the signal cable on the channel viewer I see a red icon that disappears after connecting the signal cable, unfortunately the image itself is missing.

Is it possible that it is a matter of having reset and something is wrong?

Have you changed the power supply of the recorder? It may not have current capacity. I had a problem where the recorder could not see the disk due to a fallen power supply. The power supply did give 12V.

After a few months today came the day when I changed the power supply, unfortunately it did not help :(

Topic summary

The BCS-0801ME recorder, used with KG-DBSHE, KG-V40SL, and KG-S-1548 cameras, began experiencing issues after a power outage, including frequent resets and loss of camera feed. The red HDD LED indicated potential disk failure or overflow, although the disk status was reported as "OK" after logging in. Attempts to troubleshoot included checking power supply, connecting cameras to a TV (which displayed images), and formatting the disk, but the camera feed remained absent. Suggestions included replacing the power supply and checking for overheating issues, but ultimately, the recorder may need replacement as previous fixes did not resolve the problem.
