Hello. Today I noticed that in my 2000 belt, water is flowing under the passenger rug. After disassembly of the clipboard, it turned out that the water flows from such a sponge, which is on the plastic air conditioning channel. Does anyone know how to remove this fault? I will be grateful for every hint.

Hello. At the bottom in the middle housing, where the heater is sitting, there should be an outflow of condensed water from the air conditioning system, check if the cable is not clogged or bent.

Unscrew the entire cabin filter housing because in this model it flies to the passenger rug. If the gasket is broken and cracked, replace it with a new one and after the trouble. I installed such a soft gasket for plastic windows. You buy it by the meter.

Give some picture because as you can see it is not known what's going on.
In my opinion it flies with air conditioning how well I understood so to check the drain. It is a so-called funnel, it has a small diameter at the outlet and can be clogged. Disassemble it (I think it kept in three places) and clean or replace it with a piece of hose.
Note when dismantling so as not to break the tip entering the funnel.

    Hello
You probably have already dealt with the problem but I will add my five groszy because I spent the last two days solving this problem in my passku. The whole problem with water is not in the clogged funnel, but in the gasket between the funnel and the engine compartment. This seal is completed with a closure in the form of a flap, which I do not know what it is for. This is the bottleneck that most often becomes silted. I suspect that, unknowingly, the passenger kicking too hard with his legs can gently push the gasket, which, based on soundproofing, closes the whole, then the water level rises until it overflows through the connection with the plastic evaporator. I enclose photos of this seal on both sides. Good luck Volkswagen Passat B5 - Water under the passenger floor - leaking climate

Thanks for the help. The problem, however, was in the clogged channel draining water under the car.
