    Hello.
At the beginning I wanted to say that I have already given golf to some of the worse and better mechanics and this is not a basic fault because none of them has done anything and it is the same. So I have golf 4 and the problem is that when the rain falls (the car kept under the block) I have a wet floor (I'm adding a photo). Precipitation must stay for a good few days so that you can see something, so really a small leak. I'm going to the first mechanic, he cleaned the channels draining the water in the shaft and said that it will be ok. After a few days I noticed that the floor does not dry and is even more wet. I leave the next one after a few days of scratching (he took off the rugs and poured with water, looking at where he is going), he told me that he was not going anywhere and that it was wet and that it would not dry out yet. I went to dry and continue the same. Again, I was dismissed so that the latter, took out the armchairs and lined up so that it was a sheet metal, and for one week he exposed the rain and watched and said he was not going anywhere ... my hands fell ?. I dismissed the 3 mechanic and after a few days he said that he corrected everything in the underpass, and if there is no improvement, change the need. It was still the same then I exchanged the front window. But after a few days, a wet floor again ... ? so far away from the tinplate who said that it is impossible and that he will find a solution to the problem. After 2 weeks, he said that the dehydrator was removed in some electric box under the mask, and that the water was gathering there and later it was very slowly sifting into the interior. And that dorobie dehydrator and will be guitars. Satisfied, I dried the floor and after a week it was wet again ... then I leave another mechanic who said after a few days that he does not know what I am looking for because I do not go anywhere, etc. In the summer there was peace, the rain was but it did not last long so the floor was dry but it started to fall almost all the time and I see that the floor is getting wet. I noticed that the screw from the driver's door at the bottom is very corroded and from the passenger like the novelties it may be some clue. And this eraser from the door (I add a photo) that there is a small hole in it, I told the mechanics and they will not buy it and in addition there is no possibility of getting water there. Maybe you had a similar problem or you know someone from Lodz who does not downplay the problem and solve my problem ... Everyone tells me sell the car and buy others but I like my car and in addition I do not have problems with it bypassing this course, and I will buy another with another problem . And in addition, I do not like to cheat people, look straight into the eyes to say that I sell because I want to buy another one and this one is igla, etc. So I would be very grateful for your help thanks in advance ?

There is one more rubber between the upper hinge and the rubber covering the cables. There ends the channel draining the water from the sunroof and probably not only. Probably the rubber ledge got stuck and rotted the bottom of the channel. You would have to clean and seal this channel.

Yes, I know about it from the sunroof, the tube mentioned a few years ago (I forgot to add). The water flows there without any problems, I even checked a few days ago ?

In this case, the passage of the cable from the mask through the bulkhead wall.

That's what I read about it, the mechanics say it's okay as I mentioned it ... but if there was a gap, it would probably be like water and watched. Rather, frequent defects and specialists have turned this to attention

Did they check the sheet in the driver's door?

I do not know what and what can be wrong with it?

Buddy, I will write to you like this:
Take off the door bell. Underneath it, you will encounter a sheet that protects the interior of the door, and is also the seat of the window lifting mechanism (from the inside)
It is sealed with a sponge gasket which, after many years, it slides and disappears. Protect the edges of the sheet with silicone, fold the bacon and enjoy the dry floor (if the water is also visible on the door seal - near the loudspeaker - it's 100% the question of the sheet gasket)

Ok when I'm at home on the weekend I will do it. And just as I took off the bacon, I noticed that the dyatans from the speaker changed the color slightly from the moisture from the bottom. It is made of such wood because I founded some new speakers two years ago. Could it be due to the water pouring into the car? Is the water just flowing there and this distance can mic contact with water?

If the sheet was once pulled, it certainly was not sealed properly, hence the problem

I had the same, between the door and the door frame there is a long and thick gasket, I broke it completely and glued it again with a good silicone. Poporistu with time, these gums let go and release water. Generally, it should be new but it was a pity for me :) possible with this info will help you ;)

    Combi car? Are the railings?

I had a similar case in the audi a6. The cause was a cracked factory sealing compound on the shaft, between the horizontal plate and the vertical one, to which the fender is screwed. The water was flying through the crack, then somehow got under maintenance and leaked inside the car from between the welded sheets. It helped to lubricate the cracked mass with silicone.

This is not a combo and there are no railings. The door will be sealed with silicone and we will see ?

Just sit somewhere somewhere to read about it, because it was not the simplest because silicone does not catch you immediately ;)

Edit: there is still the possibility of a hole in the chassis but it will come out in the wash because I would check the ppd end. Also check the gaskets from the windows. And these slats also sometimes release under the windows

I have already given up on this malfunction, and the problem solved itself. And it was like this: I gave it to the tinsmith to replace the cladding because it was dented (a small parkong collision). After removing the counter, you could see that water, mud, etc. were gathering in it. After replacing it, the floor dry ? thanks to all for help.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a persistent issue of a wet driver's floor in a Volkswagen Golf 4 1.9 TDI after rainfall. The original poster has consulted multiple mechanics without a resolution. Suggestions include checking the rubber seals around the door and the sunroof drainage channels, as well as inspecting the cable passage through the bulkhead wall. A common recommendation is to seal gaps with silicone to prevent water ingress. One user shared a similar experience with an Audi A6, where a cracked factory seal caused water leaks. Ultimately, the original poster resolved the issue after a tinsmith replaced damaged cladding, which had been trapping water and debris.
