There is a wedge. The shaft should be blocked so that it does not move when you tighten the belt.

    Hello.
Let me refresh the topic. Trafic 1.9 dci 80 hp f9q engine. I blocked everything as it should be, in addition I made marks with a marker on the wheels and housings. I put the belt on and the signs match too. After tensioning the belt and making a few turns of the shaft, the marks on the belt do not match, but the ones I made with the marker on the wheels do. Earlier, someone in front of me also changed the belt and made his marks and agrees on them too. Asking for the characters on the bar. Is it supposed to be like that, or must they match the marks on the wheels each time. And one more thing. How to tighten the belt without a bother? I will add that I cannot start the engine very much because it is removed. greetings

Why bother or have no idea. The belt has an odd number of teeth. So it won't play. And you tighten the belt on the eye, i.e. professional experience.

Thanks, mate, for the statement. Unfortunately, the engine had to be dismantled for another reason. On the occasion of access to the timing, I thought I would replace it. I changed the timing a few times, in other engines, but there were different tensioners.
So from what you wrote, I have everything done ok, since the signs on the wheels match?

You also replaced the water pump and new screws with a torque wrench, do you have a shaft lock?

Water pump replaced, tensioner, new bolt. I have a blockade, the shaft is blocked at TDC, in addition, I replaced the candles and checked whether the piston was up. The blockade is in its place.
