    Hello,

could anyone tell me something about this type of construction?

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Per6J1-Valve-...J1-on-Musical-Fidelity-X10-D/32666559198.html

there is not much information in the description, but browsing the diagrams of simple tube amplifiers there is always a mains transformer and 2 (for stereo) speaker transformers.
These elements are not here, it works based on a simple 12v power supply

Can a decent sound quality be obtained through such a simple amplifier?

Buddy is a preamplifier, therefore, it doesn't require output current and the tubes used can work at low voltages. Similar constructions have been described by EdW.

This is a preamplifier, not a power amplifier, so you don't have transformers on the output. The output of this kit is connected to a power amplifier.

    Thanks for the clarification :)

that is, how I would route the audio output from this tube preamplifier to such an amplifier

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Electric-...A2030A-hifi-stereo-amplifier/32630906654.html

could I connect the speakers at the output of this amplifier?

after all, even this amplifier doesn't have speaker transformers

forgive my questions, I want to start my adventure with electronics, but I can't understand how they got rid of such an element

I would like to create a small amplifier (some kind of hybrid or a clean tube) for "fun" up to 1-2 W on the audio output
and I am thinking about this type of ready that would help me understand the principle of operation

Semiconductor amplifiers (as in the last link) do not require speaker transformers. You can connect speakers directly. The speaker transformer matches the speaker impedance (low) to the output impedance of the tube amplifier (high).

    Thanks for the clarification

in this case, does the sound transformer lose sound quality?

    Is such a structure i.e.
the lamp preamplifier outputs a signal to the solid state amplifier and then to the speakers makes sense? Will it work if I combine these 2 elements in such a way?

    Hello,
the introduction of a transformer into the system causes "changes" in the sound and whether they are positive or negative changes (distortions) depends on the refinement of the system. Due to their construction, audio type transformers do not carry very high frequencies of 100kHz and whether there is a need to carry them is another matter. On the other hand, for transformers to carry the lowest sounds they must have high inductance = very large dimensions.
The sought after sound of the tube amplifier is caused in the vast majority by the presence of a transformer.
If you are looking for a tube sound then adding a tube preamplifier to a power semiconductor amplifier will not change much, in this respect it is better to do the opposite. Examples are OTL systems or other transformerless tube systems that do not sound so tube-like.
    Regards

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Chinese DIY tube amplifier kit, specifically the Per6J1 Valve Pre-Amp, which operates on a 12V power supply. Participants clarify that this kit is a preamplifier, not a power amplifier, and thus does not require output transformers. The output from the tube preamplifier can be connected directly to a solid-state power amplifier, such as the TDA2030A, allowing for speaker connection without transformers. Concerns about sound quality and the role of transformers in audio systems are addressed, noting that while transformers can introduce distortions, they are essential for achieving the characteristic tube sound. The conversation emphasizes the compatibility of combining tube preamplifiers with solid-state amplifiers for a hybrid audio setup.
