    Hello!

    I wonder what effect a neodymium or other magnet can have on electronics and household appliances?

    One of my observations is that when I placed a neodymium magnet (dimensions 45mmx30mm) next to it, the smartphone turned off after a few moments. I also suspect a negative impact on the SIM card.

    Anyone know anything more?

    The SIM card has no steel or induction components.
    I think 2 interactions are the most important. Change of coil inductance and induction of voltages in circuits.

    You speak well, I will add that in general (in this case my HuaWei) has little metal attracted by a magnet

    It's not just about magnetically active materials. Copper is indifferent to the action of a magnet, but if a magnet is moved next to a copper coil (or made of another conductor, e.g. aluminum), the coil induces a voltage proportional to the inductance of the coil, the "strength" of the magnet and its speed relative to it.
