Huawei P8 Lite phone - no GSM coverage
    Phone damaged due to flooding.
Dead due to a complete short circuit in the power supply caused
    corrosion of capacitors.
After cleaning the corrosion and removing the short circuit, the phone starts correctly.
No GSM coverage for both SIMs.
Further examination of the plate allowed to determine the lack of the element marked in the picture.
Does anyone know what this element is?
Can it affect the GSM range?
Thank you in advance for your help.

It looks like a capacitor on the pads :) Usually the lack of capacity does not bring anything special, except in the converter circuit (pump / feedback / reference voltage)

If it's a capacitor, it should not really affect this behavior. I wonder, however, that there are 4 empty pads on the missing element. What kind of capacitor?

The same adventure with the same phone happened to me. Huawei p8 lite sunk in a bucket of water. Quickly unscrewing parts + battery disconnection, isopropyl alcohol in action. After "drying" and folding to the pile - the phone fired nicely everything ok, but did not catch the range in both slots. After checking, it turned out that I miss exactly the same item as described in this post. However, it looks like it has something to do with catching the range. I managed to find this baby, but it seems to me that in the home there is no option to solder it, so at the moment I am at the stage of looking for a motherboard for a replacement from some survivor. Unless one of you, experienced electronic engineers, has some other idea?

I apologize for the poor quality of photos (I do not have anything better at hand) but it may be useful to someone. For me, the element is, and unfortunately, the range is missing. Tel also after flooding. Anyone have any suggestions ??

I recommend searching for x2y filter capacitor.
