Hello, the patient is Fabia 2011 1.6 tdi CR engine code CAYA 55kW. After connecting, the VCDS issues two errors P0113 Intake air temperature sensor (G42) signal for high second error P246E Flue gas temperature sensor 4; band 1 - electrical fault. As for the first error P0113 in the measurement blocks, the sensor continuously indicates the value of -40 degrees and so I replaced it with a new Bosch sensor after deleting the error, the same error and 40-degree indication still appear. I note that the power supply in the plug is about 5v. I do not think it was the fault of the new sensor just because it does not have a VW badge ???? I am asking for some hints.

Renew the signal wire between IAT and ECM.

    Added after 2 [minutes]:

Or even easier ......... do a jumper on the IAT and check the VCDS DTC, it should change to "signal too low"

What do you mean by writing IAT?

IAT = Intake Air Temperature (Sensor) = (Sensor) Intake Air Temperature.

I think I should bridge the pins in the plug? If so, which pins are their 4?

If you have such a sensor (IAT + MAP), connect "-" with "NTC".

The problem is solved already because the mechanic who exchanged the timing crossed the wires "-" and NTC in the plug.

Now I am struggling with the second error P246E-Sensor 4 exhaust temperature; assembly 1 - electrical fault. Erasing with the VCD-ax does not help in measuring blocks, the sensor constantly indicates the value of 998 degrees. Any hints?

The fault is also solved by replacing the exhaust temperature sensor.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2011 Skoda Fabia 1.6 TDI CR experiencing error P0113 related to the intake air temperature sensor (IAT). The user replaced the sensor with a new Bosch unit, but the error persisted, indicating a constant temperature of -40 degrees. Suggestions included renewing the signal wire between the IAT and the engine control module (ECM) and checking the wiring connections. The issue was ultimately resolved when a mechanic corrected crossed wires in the plug. The user later encountered a second error, P246E, related to the exhaust temperature sensor, which was also resolved by replacing the faulty sensor.
