    Hello
I am asking for advice on what to buy, because for the first time I will start replacing the paste on the GPU and termopadów cooling memory chips on the graphics card.
I bought this model: Gigabyte GTX 680 4GB Windforce 3x.
The question is, which thermocades should be replaced, so that they are neither too thick nor too thin, generally closest to the original used in this card, because too thick will probably affect less cooling pressure on the processor, and too thin will not cool the memory well. ..
If you have any hint, I would be grateful, there is a multitude of this on the Allegro, especially I see the AAB company excels, but the company does not bother me what I will buy, as long as I know what to buy :)
The card has not arrived to me yet, so I will not take other photos, I want to prepare and buy these thermal strips before.
Thank you in advance for the info.

Personally, I would not exchange if it is a new card. You need to measure the thickness of the thermopan after removing it and then choose the right one. When choosing, be guided by the heat transfer coefficient, and for the paste additionally whether or not it conducts electricity, because if it flows out into the electronics, it will create short circuits.

I put together a used comp for a nephew, mainly for games ... So there will be no new equipment, only stimulants, so the idea of replacing the pastes on the CPU and GPU.
Replacement of the paste on the processor is not new to me, I have done it many times to my friends, however, I have never played in the exchange of paste on the graphic system, but from what I see on youtube, unfortunately, they are also cooled with memory stripes, which I have no idea ...
I wanted to do it quite quickly before the vacation, so that the young could enjoy the equipment already, but if nobody tells anything from their own experience what these can be, then I will probably give up the GPU for now, I will conduct a performance test in some benchmark, if the graphics are not he shouts, I won't touch anything for now. I will only do CPU and finito. I have a paste, even two - Arctic MX-2 and MX-4, they do not conduct electricity - I buy them only :)
If anyone has any experience in changing these belts - help! :)

    Hello.
To choose the right thickness for the thermovolt, you should (if possible) measure the distance between the core and the heat sink using a feeler gauge. Then, based on the results of the measurement, the thermoplan should be selected - slightly thicker than the gap (we take the correction to reduce the thickness of the thermocouple after its compression). When choosing a thermopolar, pay attention to its thermal conductivity - the higher, the better.
    Interesting test: http://www.overclock.pl/articles/showall/id/5...ow-firm-aab-cooling-ag-termopasty-phobya-i-3m
Note the comparison of the cooling efficiency with the use of paste, thermocouple and the absence of the listed elements. You can also use a copper plate instead of a thermocouple - read on the Forum.
    greetings
