Damage to MAKITA BL1830 LiPo Battery: Screwdriver Engine Stops After 1 Second, Third Contact Issue

I have a battery for the charger as in the picture. The battery is properly charged, unfortunately, after inserting it into the screwdriver, the engine starts for "1" second and then turns off. After inserting into the charger, the red and green light blinks as standard. Oddly enough, if I put the battery not fully pushed in, the screwdriver works properly. The question is what is the third contact next to the "+" and "-". I checked the cells have the correct voltage, no short circuits. Can I desolder the third contact (or actually one part) so that the screwdriver works on this battery before I pick up the battery on Wednesday. I don't know if I will damage the device itself, maybe this third contact is to check the battery condition.

The screwdriver recognizes as discharged battery. This third contact is there for. You will not break the device, but if you discharge the battery excessively, you can lead to its shorter life. The question is whether the cause of the malfunction of the battery condition monitoring system is in the device or in the battery electronics? Rather the latter, but there is no certainty.

The battery is in the basket anyway. The blinking of the lamps in the charger informs that the electronics in the battery is blocked = scrap battery. It is strange that the plate in the screwdriver is "u" shaped and why it works only with the battery not fully inserted.
