    Hello,
After several years of non-use, I wanted to bring the Datalogic QuickScan QD2130-BK code scanner back to life
However, after plugging into the USB port, the system tries to install the device and after 5 minutes the driver installation failure pops up.
The green LED in the scanner is flashing
The reader does not respond to the button, I was looking for drivers on the manufacturer's website and in google.pl but I found nothing.
Maybe someone has had contact with this reader and will help?

In the device manager he finds the device as "Handheld barcode scanner"

Thanks for the links, drivers found, device installed but I have two problems
The scanner works only when the Alladin configuration program is on, when I exit the program the scanner stops working, the button is no longer active

An additional problem is the lack of reading barcodes from sim cards, and mainly for this purpose I need to use it, normal codes from bottles and cigarettes are read without any problems

The code on the cards is wider so it probably has different parameters

The scanner probably turns on only when the program requires it, so it stays in sleep mode.
What program are you using to operate it?

Okay, I changed something and the reader works normally
But there is a problem with reading codes that need to be read from sim cards and envelopes

You don't have the option to calibrate your reader somewhere?
You tried to understand how to zoom the reader in / out of the scanned code.

I did not find in settings
Ie. There are other types of codes to choose from, but I don't know what type of code it is and what to program

The problem solved itself, it turned out that the envelopes had a different barcode than the one I needed (phone number)
The scanner works fine with other barcodes

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the Datalogic QuickScan QD2130-BK barcode scanner, which faced driver installation issues after years of inactivity. The user reported a failure in driver installation despite finding links to drivers on the manufacturer's website. After successfully installing the drivers, the scanner only operated when the Alladin configuration program was active, and it struggled to read barcodes from SIM cards. Subsequent responses suggested that the scanner might be in sleep mode and recommended checking calibration settings. Ultimately, the user resolved the issue, discovering that the envelopes contained a different type of barcode than expected, while the scanner functioned correctly with other barcodes.
