Hello. If that's what it looks like, there's no need to unless it is to protect the filter against damage in transport.

It is an outer cover attached like rivets. And this is the problem whether it is a transport or permanent one as an additional external filter. Maybe someone has already encountered such a filter.

The case resolved - the cover remains as an integral part of the filter. But the next time you buy a typical filter, even in stores they had different opinions. Serviceman - thanks for your help.
