    Hello,

I would like to make a remote-controlled car model for now only project (arduino, bluetooth module and telephone control, engines https://abc-rc.pl/silnik-szczotkowy-380, engines control https://abc-rc.pl/modul-podwojnego -l9110 driver, and some servo to turn).

But I don't know how to combine cells into two 2S2P packages. It is here whether such a system is enough https://abc-rc.pl/modul-ladowania-ochrony-ogniw.
    - Will I need a balancer?
-What voltage to charge or 8.4v?
-What current does it charge (A)?
    - Will these links be good http://allegro.pl/ogniwo-li-ion-sony-us18650v3-3-6v-2250mah-10a-i6848202382.html?
    - Will there be a 12v power supply around 2-3A and lowering the voltage with this converter https://abc-rc.pl/lm2596s-woltomierz?

And what about the connection of the links so it can be?

I read on the Internet and I will probably buy an imax b6 and a 12v 5A power supply. And the only question is what current (A) is to charge and how to lead the connectors to the balancer

    Hello,

thanks for the help in connecting the balncer and I will probably buy imax b6 because I'm just starting the adventure with rc models but I plan to do more. I found other links http://allegro.pl/ogniwo-li-ion-sony-us18650v3-3-6v-2250mah-10a-i7002331785.html I can weld them right away. The balancer plug will use the one that Wojtek 9007 gave me, and I want to use the https://abc-rc.pl/buzzer-miernik-tester-1-8S-lipol to secure the system. What cross-section to take + and - from the cell or 1x0.5 enough?

What to connect cells - theoretically better is the one on the left (2S2P) because it allows balancing each link separately but the stairs are being charged when charging with the balancer - either unpinning each branch and charging separately or making a special balancer. For practical reasons (it is possible to use a normal balancer, but damage to one link automatically after a short time causes damage to the other connected in parallel) - connects as above - 2P2S.
The charging current and voltage are in the description - anyway, when you use the automatic charger, it will choose the voltage itself - you only provide the type of connecting cells (1S, 2S, etc.) and as for the current those sony from the first post - max 2.15 i.e. in practice 2 A on charging per cell - 4A in 2P2S connection.
The cables you provided are enough to connect the balancer, to connect the power supply to the model thicker - 1 or 1.5.
PS. These batteries are indeed described as high-current (well these 10A max loads) - but only in the categories of links for flashlights, laptops, etc. In modeling categories they can really be used to power a rather weak current model (small, slow, with a weak motor) . Typical modeling packages withstand loads starting from 30A.

    Hello,

the thing is (from what I've heard ;) imax b6 does not set voltage and current alone.
And you would give an example of such a link only in faith of a low price.

Voltage is controlled and compared with the assumed (when balancing to 0.01V) - but also sets - charging the 1S cell is different voltage than 2S or 3S - in the basic menu you only set the type of battery (e.g. 2S Li-Poly).
Sets the current - makes sure that it does not exceed the set value (and reduces when reaching the assumed maximum voltage and finally turns off completely). Anyway, the current current and voltage can be viewed in real time and in the case of balancing charging you can even view the voltage of individual cells.

    A typical 2S modeling link is e.g. http://www.rcskorpion.pl/towar/package-lipol-74v-2s-1800mah-30c-redox/

Not the brightest but cheap. Unfortunately, for decent links over 4 Ah, the price increases exponentially (and there are even up to 7 Ah).

The dimensions of typical 2S car batteries are more or less standardized (typical representative above - although there are exceptions) and are derived roughly from the dimensions of old 7.2V NiMH batteries, i.e. two rows of 3 cells R14

I would also suggest Al ... o. Sometimes people sell a lot of akku in good condition and cheap because they change to bigger ...

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around creating a 2S2P battery pack using 18650 cells for an Arduino-based remote-controlled car. Key considerations include the need for a balancer, charging voltage (8.4V), and charging current (2A per cell, totaling 4A for the 2P2S configuration). Users suggest purchasing an IMAX B6 charger with a balancer and a 12V 5A power supply. The importance of proper wiring for the balancer and the use of appropriate gauge wires (1.0 to 1.5 mm²) for connections is emphasized. Recommendations for battery cells include Sony 18650 cells, with links provided for purchasing. The discussion also touches on the practicality of using a normal balancer and the implications of connecting cells in parallel versus series for optimal performance and safety.
