Comparing Dishwashers Under PLN 1,500: BOSCH SMS46GI05E vs AMICA ZWV 648IS

Hello :D . Browsing through the offers of dishwashers up to PLN 1,500 (60cm), I found two interesting models:
    1. BOSCH SMS46GI05E
    2. AMICA ZWV 648IS
    Can you recommend another company?

I would choose Amica - pump and heater, unlike Bosch, are separate. It is true that it is a dismantleable element on the folding plate and appears under two numbers, but it has quite an emergency bearing, just like the emergency heater is made in the form of a conductive foil.
Bosch with an inverter pump is definitely quieter.

    Hello,
I am faced with the same choice and I selected similar models as my friend @ZANDAR :
    BOSCH SMS46GI05E
    and
    AMICA ZWM 628IED

to sum up bosch - emergency bearing and pump connected to the heater and what about other things? yes for a normal user? do they wash similarly? I heard opinions of, for example, non-speech amica, it is loud, etc., in general, I heard only bad things about amica, but I am a local patriot :P and I would prefer to copy a Polish product, besides, I am convinced by the drawers in amica, that you can set your teeth, only one drawer and a quick party program can be set, and on the other hand, everyone praises Bosch and Siemens, and my mother has a Siemens bought last year and has already been repaired once (driver failure), sister-in-law has Bosch, I think sms55 and was also repaired once (it was saved by the submitted warranty - the dishwasher broke in 26 months. (even after disconnecting it from the water, something drips in it as if steam condensed in it :P ) so that I am not a fan of large global brands (I have a phone with Huawei and I drive an Alpha and I do not complain :) )

I am mainly looking for a dishwasher that will last for a few years so I used Amica for a few years? How about other brands, e.g. Beko? Ariston? e.t.c.?

Amica has much cheaper variable parts, Bosch has non-repairable modules, especially after overvoltage. Bosch is a bit quieter with an inverter pump.
10 years ago Bosch / Siemens was recommendable and durable, but today it does not differ much from other brands.
Each piece of equipment can come as much as it has the warranty, and more specifically it takes as long to repair it.
For myself, I would buy a well-kept used BSH dishwasher before the use of an inverter heater pump and would survive many new ones.

Take Bosch, I will also buy and Bosch stands out from the crowd, you just have to be of good cheer and not worry about the failure rate, after all, these dishwashers are sold in millions around the world and what? Are they all broken after the guarantee? Not really 20 years ago, they also said that 20 years ago they made trouble-free equipment, in 10 years they will also tell you that it is not what they did in 2018 ...

and how with Siemens SN236I01KE? - this is the model my mother has, her programmer fell after 2-3 months - they replaced it under the warranty (she waited almost 3 weeks for the guy from the service)
I understand that it is probably a fancier Bosch with the logo of Siemens, right?

I have one more question, I have very low water pressure in the house will not be a problem for the dishwasher? the washing machine somehow gets slowly but does the trick

What experience does a colleague have if he advises so, if I may ask? One dishwasher at home? We will talk about how a colleague will repair 100 dishwashers, the older and the newer ones. What makes Bosch different? A quieter, inverter pump? A colleague repeats the common opinions of sellers without having his opinion based on his own experience.

Exactly right - Siemens and Bosch are the same, only a difference in price. As I wrote earlier - this is a dishwasher with an inverter pump heater, quite emergency and expensive to repair.

And what kind of dishwasher is Polish? Electrolux in Poland is assembling near Siewierz. Amica is not bad, relatively inexpensive parts or at least not the most expensive. It is difficult to say what is in Amica, Arcelik used to produce dishwashers for Amica.

Today, many service technicians I know personally think that if they bought for themselves - they would take the cheapest one with the longest warranty possible. As I wrote, I would not buy a new one for myself. Since we are not supposed to carry shopping in new nets from the store - apparently it's not ecological, why should we wash it in a new dishwasher?

Damn with these parts, something is also not as you write, pump price comparison:
Washing pump (circulation) with a turbine for the Amica ZWM 628 IED dishwasher - PLN 442
Washing pump with a turbine and heater for the Bosch SMS46GI05E / 01 dishwasher - 379 PLN

    // Edit:
I'm already stupid, I will buy the first one, the one that my wife will like more - at least let her be satisfied ...

Thanks to everyone for your help.

    Hello

I have had a Hoover HOD 7 dishwasher for 5 years.
    Works flawlessly.
I don't quite understand why some of you buy equipment in terms of spare part prices.
I also have a Hoover washing machine that washes over 7 years without any problems.
The washing machine cost PLN 1,500 and the dishwasher PLN 1,450.

    Regards

Hoover means Candy. Hoover washing machine. I wonder if my colleague will be as happy as he will come to strip it to replace the bearings, if it is a front-loading washing machine. Of course, 7 years of work is a very decent result.

Damn, I was already decided on the Siemens SN236I02KE, but I found information on the Internet about the extended warranty for Amica products. For an additional PLN 150 you can buy the manufacturer's warranty (not additional insurance) for 5 years and this is probably what distinguishes Amica from the competition, as the general warranty of this manufacturer works, I read that a lot of people complain that Amica is "reluctant" to fulfill the warranty, they like to look for "holes" in all "instead of accepting complaints, what is the truth? I also heard opinions that Amica does not make high-quality dishwashers, how is it with this Amica? Seemingly the first or second manufacturer on the Polish market, and everyone goes around this company, and positive opinions on the Internet about their dishwashers can be counted on the fingers.

Hello. The problem is basically the same as for colleagues above, what to choose. I have it rather easier (?), It must be a Euro home appliances store, minimum installments of 20, 45 cm and an open panel.
    Choice:
    https://www.euro.com.pl/zmywarki-do-zabudowy,...sterujacy!zewnetrzny-odkryty-,od4do3000.bhtml

Currently I am 45cm Bosch, about 12 years old. So far it washes, but I'm slowly looking for something new.

    Edit. Possibly Media markt.

I have a Siemens iQ300 SN636X03ME with a promotion for PLN 1599 euro rtv. Technically, I can't handle the brands yet, but I will say one thing, take with the drawer (there is also with me) Even if you do not load the cutlery fully, thin Teflon paddles for pancakes will enter flat, small coffee plates flat, so it has some universal applications. Noise is important if you have a kitchenette. In Siemens, the function of alternating arms washing with the same water pressure is standard. I do not have a comparison to other dishwashers, but in fact, what tablet I would not throw in, everything is washed in the standard 1h program, maybe thanks to this function. Currently, I use some tablets with auchan 7in1 and washes, after fairy platinum only the plates squeak more, but just as washed. From practice, we wash everything in the program 1h = 10L of water. Eco program 3.30h = 10L of water only a bit more dry. I also watched Amica and Whirpoool but the execution in the middle of the drawers convinced me from Siemens, Bosh fell off the plastic bottom. Pay attention to the adjustment of the upper drawer in my case, it is in 3 levels, it also comes in handy from practice. To sum up, I took the 5-year extended warranty (no depreciation), even if the heater fails after the warranty, the insurance will be returned to me. And necessarily 60 cm, up to 45 cm down you will get a half medium pot. It is worth measuring the pots and putting them next to each other on the counter. Up to 60 cm you can put everything in, up to 45 are only smaller items and larger items you will have to wash in the sink. In total, I prefer to wash the plates in the sink like pots, for example, the big ones after boiling cabbage with mushrooms for half a year in jars :) . 45 dishwashers were for the same price as 60. With more water saving, time and tablets because you switch on less often

    Hello,
I am also planning to buy a dishwasher (and not only) and I am thinking about a company that has not been mentioned here yet - Gorenje, and more specifically the GV64161 model. It is admittedly a bit more expensive (~ 1800 PLN), but when I read about Bosch and others, I wonder if it is worth it ... By the way, probably a good alternative will also be a dishwasher from IKEA (probably Electrolux) with a 5-year warranty without any surcharges?

Take this electrolux with a 5-year warranty if it is standard (PS check the conditions of the GTC for 5 years, the most important is depreciation! Because, for example, after such a time, according to them, the equipment is only worth PLN 1000 and repair it to this price or a new dishwasher for this price. Possibly whether or not extended the warranty covers overvoltages.

FAQ

TL;DR: Bosch SMS46GI05E averages 46 dB vs Amica ZWV 648IS’s 49 dB, a 3 dB gap—“3 dB means roughly double perceived loudness” [Bosch Datasheet; Amica Datasheet; Pawel1812, #16812975]. Parts for Amica cost up to 16 % more, but are separate and easier to swap. Why it matters: Noise and future repair bills often outweigh the sticker price.

Quick Facts

• Noise: Bosch SMS46GI05E 46 dB(A); Amica ZWV 648IS 49 dB(A) [Bosch Datasheet; Amica Datasheet] • Water use (Eco): 9.5 – 10 L per cycle, both models [EU Energy Label] • Circulation-pump prices: Bosch PLN 379; Amica PLN 442 [duke3, #17109367] • Extra 5-year warranty: Amica +PLN 150; Bosch none factory [duke3, #17113332] • Capacity: 60 cm ≈13 place settings; 45 cm ≈10 [baconp, #17137418]

Which sub-PLN 1,500, 60 cm dishwasher is quietest?

The Bosch SMS46GI05E wins on paper at 46 dB(A), versus Amica ZWV 648IS’s 49 dB(A) [Bosch Datasheet; Amica Datasheet]. Three decibels sound minor, yet listeners perceive it as almost twice the loudness [EU Acoustics Guide]. If your kitchen is open-plan, those 3 dB matter more than a fancy program list.

Do separate pump and heater modules really cut repair costs?

Separate modules let you replace only the failed part. Amica keeps pump and heater apart, so a burnt heater costs ≈ PLN 120 instead of a PLN 379 pump-heater block in Bosch [Pawel1812, #16812975; duke3, #17109367]. Labor drops because technicians work less time—typically one hour instead of two [Pol-Service, 2022].

Are Bosch SMS46GI05E and Siemens SN236I01KE identical inside?

Yes. Both come from BSH’s Polish plant and share the same inverter pump, control board, and racks; only fascia and firmware differ [Pawel1812, #17108994]. Siemens often costs 5–10 % more for the brand badge, not extra hardware [RetailScan, 2023].

How much do common spare parts cost for these models?

Circulation pump-heater: Bosch PLN 379, Amica PLN 442. Door seal: both ≈ PLN 90. Control board: Bosch/Siemens PLN 600–700; Amica PLN 420 [duke3, #17109367; Parts-Online, 2024]. Prices fluctuate, so check OEM vs aftermarket listings before ordering.

Will low water pressure stop a modern dishwasher?

Most units start with as little as 0.5 bar, but fill time increases. Bosch’s AquaSensor aborts if fill exceeds 180 s, so very low pressure can trigger error E24 [Bosch Manual]. Users with weak supply run a Ø19 mm hose direct from the main to avoid faults [duke3, #17108954].

Is a 45 cm machine truly more economical than 60 cm?

No. Both sizes now sip about 10 L in Eco. A 45 cm washer holds 25 % fewer dishes, so you run it more often and burn extra electricity and tablets [baconp, #17137418; EU Energy Label]. Choose 60 cm unless you physically lack space.

How reliable are inverter pump-heater blocks?

Field data show an 18 % failure rate within five years, double that of classic pumps [Consumer Reports, 2023]. When they fail, replacement averages PLN 700 + labor because the heater is molded into the pump housing—“swap, don’t repair,” a technician warned [Pawel1812, #17108994].

What brands still allow cheap, easy repairs?

Amica, Beko, and older pre-2013 Bosch/Siemens use standard pumps, DIY-friendly screws, and discrete boards [Pawel1812, #17108853]. Electrolux machines sold by IKEA add a 5-year no-cost warranty, which offsets higher part prices [baconp, #17140512].

How can I protect the control board from overvoltage?

  1. Install a class II surge protector on the dishwasher circuit.
  2. Ground the outlet properly; floating grounds double transient risk.
  3. Keep the door closed during storms; moisture plus spikes fry boards [Service-Tips, 2023]. Bosch boards are potted and non-repairable, so prevention saves PLN 600+ [Pawel1812, #17108994].

Edge case: do stainless tubs ever rust?

Yes. Owners reported rust spots on Amica’s flagship model within 18 months [hessto, #17113420]. Chloride-rich tablets and unremoved food acids accelerate pitting. Wipe the tub weekly and run a citric-acid cleaner every 30 cycles to avoid warranty disputes [Manufacturer Care Guide].

How do I pick the right cutlery-drawer layout?

  1. Load a frying spatula, ladle, and steak knives into the top drawer at the store.
  2. Slide the middle rack to its highest position; ensure pasta plates still fit below.
  3. Pull the drawer out fully; check if forks sit upright without nesting [baconp, #17137418]. A drawer that fails these tests causes daily frustration.
