Hello, if I write in the wrong section, please transfer. The problem is this type:
I am currently using a Zalman ZM mic1 microphone and an external Roccat Juke sound card. Although the room is quiet, you can only hear the noise of the computer, while you can hear a humming noise. After passing the audio through Audacity the sound is already clear but I also care about the purity "live". Is the problem here the quality of the equipment or the room where I record? I'm thinking about a new microphone to get rid of this problem, e.g. SAMSON GO MIC connected via USB - will I get better quality than with a jack? Is it the specificity of the room that is not in any way prepared for voice recording that makes it impossible to achieve a better effect in real time?

I would not expect good quality after a microphone for PLN 16 PLN 99.
Invest simply in a better microphone. This Samson is much better. In truth, there is not even anything to compare them because it is completely different equipment from two shelves. What are you recording with this microphone? Speech? Singing? Instruments? If the last two make no sense.
This Zalman ZM mic1 is for chatting on Skype, nothing more. If live buzzing and not Audacity, then you may have additional gain enabled in this soundcard's settings. Look at the tabs in the program that supports the card, something is probably unnecessarily enabled.

It has to be a microphone only for speech recording - for yt, where it is enough and zalman because I can clear the sound but also for streams and there you need pure live sound.

As for the amplification, I have it turned on, but without it the speech is terribly quietly recorded and still hums

Check if it is the same on another computer. It will probably be the fastest.

At the moment I have no way ... So buying a better quality microphone with a jack and connecting it to an external sound card I will get better quality or will it be best to use a microphone connected directly to the USB? Novox NC1 e.g.

There is no rule, it depends on the computer's power supply. With a poor quality power supply, both the jack and USB microphone will give you interference.

In my computer I have something like this:
Noise & Mic Quality: Zalman ZM mic1 vs. Samson Go Mic, Roccat Juke Sound Card, USB or Jack?

    Could this be the reason?

After applying the appropriate filters and zalman has a nice sound. I found out in an audio store that a USB micro is better.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the audio quality issues experienced with the Zalman ZM mic1 microphone and Roccat Juke sound card. The user reports persistent humming noise despite a quiet recording environment, leading to considerations for upgrading to a Samson Go Mic connected via USB for potentially better sound quality. Responses suggest that the Zalman mic is inadequate for speech recording, primarily designed for casual use like Skype. Recommendations include checking sound card settings for unnecessary gain and considering the impact of the computer's power supply on audio quality. The user contemplates whether a USB microphone would yield superior results compared to a jack connection, with some responses indicating that USB mics generally provide better performance. The conversation highlights the importance of equipment quality and room acoustics in achieving clear live sound.
