Hi, I have a novox nc1 microphone from yesterday, it is a USB condenser microphone. The problem is that when someone says something louder in the other room, this microphone collects it - just as lightly stomps foot, or lightly chair 'wait', all this microphone collects, I have no idea how to deal with it in the microphone settings I can not set it, so that it removes the echo or damped / because it is connected to the USB, not to the mini jack. If anyone has any idea, write it boldly :)

If it's under usb then I would look for some software that will support it with the possibility of adjusting the sensitivity of the microphone. You had to make yourself a microphone under jack 3.5, you would have great satisfaction and there would be no problems :)

I wonder how all these jutibers who use a usb microphone or strimerzy and all of them work nicely :D

And you have a program in mind because I am looking and looking and I can not find anything, or give me what to put in googole to find something like that, I would be grateful :D

Professional programs for capturing / processing audio / video can remove the distortions you write about with a hardware or software comb filter.
Provide exactly what kind of information the microphone is. If the manufacturer does not provide software then you need to look for a soffit under another similar usb microphone with adjustable sensitivity that may work with your model.

By. nail me to the coffin if you do not have the right room.
An acoustic screen would help, so that it does not happen:

A colleague above wrote that if I "rewrote" him from usb to jack, I would not have this problem, that means I can try to buy a 3.5mm jack adapter and maybe the problem would disappear. And the microphone is just as I wrote above, this is novox nc-1, I heard a lot of good reviews about it, but I did not expect that I would have such a sensitivity problem even though it is close to my mouth when I speak and someone will say something more loudly in the second room or a slightly opened chair, this is where the sound breaks out.

It will not do anything as much as it can.

I did not write anything about reworking, just making a microphone from the scratch for a jack about 5 zlotys (electret microphone insert and jack socket and cable everyone will find in the house). I have one myself and he was able to cope with sensitivity after the sensitivity was set up.

So in conclusion ... the only thing that can help me is a program that can help me to suppress my surroundings, right?

Gentlemen, and you can help me, what is the program, how should I look for it ?! I will be very grateful :D

I suggest that it is not necessarily a program for this microphone, I would expect more of an additional sound card program that will tame the microphone but do not expect miracles.
Perhaps it is enough to set the sound source of the USB microphone in the advanced settings of the sound card, and then the sensitivity control will work. Good luck.

If the microphone picks up sounds from the environment, it is most likely very acoustic and the sound reflects on the microphone. You can invest in Active noise canceling headphones or try to eliminate this effect, without investing in muting or other equipment, and use a microphone cover, i.e. a regular foam sponge on the microphone headphones.

It should help dispel those sounds .

In general, it is worth using sponges for hygiene reasons and to improve the quality of the connection. The sponge collects gusts of air from the speaking agent hitting the microphone diaphragm, so that there will be no additional noise on the other side during the call.

How is the microphone set in the audio settings? download the program Cool Edit type and see what exactly collects the microphone, it is often caused by the fact that the line input is too loud or the microphone level is too loud

Gentlemen, I'm hooked to the subject. Scarlet 2i2 2 gen and Audio Technica AT 2035 - What can you do to prevent the microphone from collecting keyboard and mouse sounds? What programs do you recommend? I tried to adjust the sensitivity through the voice meeter program but nothing helps. How is it - that so many creators are recording their material live and only what is their voice?

    Greetings,
    M

Simple - they use more expensive microphones with appropriate characteristics. In the case of popular condenser microphones this is the most common omnidirectional characteristic and therefore collects everything. Rescue may be to reduce the sensitivity of the microphone input or reduce the signal level (but here you should not overdo it because there will be noise or interference)

Well, then, what is the appropriate characteristic?

    Cardioid.
It is best to use a pressure-gradient microphone, it is only sensitive to sounds coming from the front of the microphone.

Fortunately, my microphone is just cardioid - directional. I will also add that on the walls I have acoustic mats - which in some way reduces sound reflections. My guess is that creators who use similar microphones have at their disposal some programs that reduce specific sounds - or something like that. For sure I will drill a topic - but if someone knows something and shares this knowledge, I would be very grateful!

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the Novox NC-1 USB condenser microphone, which is experiencing issues with high sensitivity, picking up ambient sounds from the environment, such as voices and minor noises from adjacent rooms. Users suggest exploring software solutions to adjust microphone sensitivity, as well as considering hardware alternatives like a 3.5mm jack adapter for potentially better performance. Recommendations include using professional audio processing software, acoustic treatments, and microphone covers to mitigate sound capture. The importance of microphone characteristics is highlighted, with cardioid patterns being preferred for focused sound capture. Users also discuss the effectiveness of various programs and settings to reduce unwanted noise.
