    Hello,
I have been thinking about choosing a post-leasing computer for a long time. But somehow I can not predict the computer with what parameters will be enough for years of work.
At the beginning there was Optiplex 7010 SFF with i5-3470, 120 GB SSD, Win 10 Pro PL, because it was light. Later it turned out that the maximum amount of RAM that the board installed in it will support is 16 GB.
Then I was offered a 9010 DT with the same processor but already with a 240 GB SSD and Win 10 Home PL. There is already 32 GB of RAM here.
And finally a new set with the i7-3770 processor appeared. Now I'm considering between him and this 9010 with i5-3470. Is it worth investing so much in a used computer? Here are the set IDs at www.amso.pl referred to: ID 48435, ID 49858.
I will add that I need a computer to work on the FL studio program. But also sometimes (a little) to create video in SONY Vegas Pro (or Adobe After effects) and graphics in Photoshop.

For comparison My current equipment is DELL Latitude D830 with T7500 3 GB RAM, HDD 160 GB (Win XP Pro and Ubuntu 16.04) with nVidia Quadro NVS 140M (matrix 1680x1050). I rarely use Win XP - mainly working on FL studio, Photoshop CS 3 and SONY Vegas Pro 10, with the network disconnected - and from Ubuntu: mainly the Internet, documents.

Oh, what is the difference between Win 10 Home and Pro. Ie. in practice, because I got to know these differences but I don't fully understand them. With the exception of e.g. remote desktop.

I hope you will help me make this important decision.

I will add that the monitor decided to choose DELL P2212 Full HD.

Between 16 and 32GB of RAM there won't be much difference with the rest of the components. If you care about post-lease equipment so much, choose the tower version of the computer, there are many more expansion options in such a case, if only because these housings fit normal size graphics cards.

Anyway, I think it's better to assemble the equipment from scratch than to buy a brand.

When it comes to assembling a computer from scratch, to be honest I don't have time and knowledge. Here comes the search for information on components, possible learning from errors, etc.
As for the tower housing, I totally agree with you - you can significantly expand such equipment. Especially when it comes to power supply. And this is important for more demanding components, such as a strong graphics card. Unfortunately, such computers are very heavy, which in my case is extremely inadvisable. I leave the details to myself.

So initially, so as not to lose too much in case I have to change my computer in the future, it is better to buy now the minimum, that is 7010 z, just Win 10 Home or Pro?
Alternatively, replace the processor later, because both above are on the same socket.

Choose a pro, if only because of the so-called remote desktop, in windows home a computer cannot be a server but a client.

However, I purchased 9010 MT because the SFF and DT versions were no longer available and I needed to have a computer as soon as possible. And even better, because it is not so heavy and you will be able to at least mount a more powerful power supply or graphics card in the future, if necessary.
Unfortunately, during transport, the package had to hit something hard, because the fan in the fan fell out and the metal sheet installed between the sockets on the plate and the casing moved.
I wonder if the disc and the disk survived.

In addition, I was still worried about the bug in Intel processors. However, if you believe the list of processors that are affected by this problem, my i7-3770 is not flawed. Even i7-4790 apparently is not flawed, which I found out a little late, because maybe I could find a computer with such a processor.

If it turns out that the computer will work, then the best I will know if the chipset on this board will support i7-4790. If so, you can change the processor in the future.

It was necessary to report damage in transit at the courier.

Unfortunately, the courier left the parcel with the neighbors because I could not be home before 4pm and couriers work until this hour. Pick-up pickup was also out of the question. Secondly, there were no signs of damage on the outer packaging.
The computer works (except for a little knocking fan - it will be for replacement) and has been tested with the Dell diagnostics utility. Although today's test versions are not detailed enough.
I will install Victoria and check the disk again.
[edit] The seller sent me a fan because the complaint was rejected - of course wrong, but I didn't feel like going further. Anyway, there was no need - the equipment works.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around choosing between two DELL Optiplex models: the 7010 with an i5-3470 processor and the 9010 with an i7-3770 processor. The user is considering the specifications, including RAM (16 GB vs. 32 GB), SSD size (120 GB vs. 240 GB), and the suitability for software like FL Studio, SONY Vegas Pro, and Adobe After Effects. The 7010 is lighter but has limited RAM capacity, while the 9010 offers more expansion options and better performance. The user ultimately decided on the 9010 MT model due to availability and future upgrade potential, despite concerns about transit damage and processor vulnerabilities. Recommendations include opting for Windows 10 Pro for remote desktop capabilities and considering the weight of the tower version for future upgrades.
