    I have this question:

I'm going to buy Raspberry Pi (Exactly Model B3) and use it as an extension to the TV so that you can watch TV through the Delta Media Player.
As for the system, I was thinking about a classic Raspbian or Ubuntu Mate.

My question is: Will it be possible to enjoy comfortable viewing in min. 30 fps? Will Raspberry Pi B3 handle it?

Thank you in advance for your answer :)

Rpi3 is able to decode h.264 video stream in FullHD at 30fps without any problems.

I've looked at this Delta Media Player website and I'm afraid they do not provide ARM's binaries. Yes, there are binaries for linux, but it seems only for x64

What's the problem if Raspberry Pi 3 is equipped with an x64 processor?

I'm not sure but I think you're wrong.

Raspberry Pi actually uses a 64-bit processor but from the ARM family and can only execute ARM instructions (several sets)

In contrast, DMP binaries are only available for the x64 architecture and these CPUs on Rpi can not perform.

Buddy Rosoft at this price you can buy better equipment such as TV BOX on Android 2/16 G. Read about KODI and accessories.

I have already ordered RPI3, but this is because I will use it for my other projects. I will let you know what and how in the future :)

In the end, I found time and willingness to resume the topic :)

I installed on my Raspberry Pi 3 Android 6.0.1, as well as the Delta Media Player application. Apparently everything works as it should, but when you turn on the example channel you hear only the sound and the image is not displayed. Does anyone have an idea what to do about it?

Thank you in advance for all the answers :D

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around using the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B3 to watch TV via the Delta Media Player. Users confirm that the Raspberry Pi 3 can decode h.264 video streams at 30fps in Full HD. However, concerns arise regarding the availability of ARM binaries for Delta Media Player, which only provides x64 binaries, making it incompatible with the ARM architecture of the Raspberry Pi. One user mentions successfully installing Android 6.0.1 on the Raspberry Pi and running Delta Media Player, but encounters an issue where only audio plays without video. Suggestions include exploring alternatives like Kodi and considering other devices such as Android TV boxes for better performance.
