    Hello,

Has anyone encountered such error code 033001 right after starting? I was venting my CISS and some ink spilled under the cartridges. After switching on, the printer does not spin the rollers or move the head - after displaying the Epson logo, it shows error 033001 and wants me to turn the printer off and on (it does not help). I felt a bit of a burn from my nose to the printer, so maybe something went up in smoke inside.
And an additional question - would I be able to diagnose the problem with Epson Adjuster? I wouldn't want to spend $ 10 on something that won't help me.

    Greetings!

Burnt head and probably the fuse on the motherboard went along with it.

You can check the error for free in the Wic Reset program by selecting the Report button.

I downloaded Wic Reset and the fuse actually went:

Probably the scanner error is the result of this problem. Is there any reasonable chance to fix this? The printer cost PLN 290 and is quite new, so there is still a question whether the repair is profitable?

It probably does not pay off, the new head is included in the price of the printer. And a plate repair.

Well. I will try to disassemble the casing and see if anything else has burnt on the board, apart from the fuse.
    Thank you friend for help!

I unscrewed, replaced the fuse F1. Two flex tapes come out of the head, with both connected again the fuse is on, with one connected it displays the error 0x791C Printer head failure. Main board failure. Head environment temperature error. It seems to me that there is a chance that, apart from the fuse, only the head fell. I am a bit disappointed with the construction of the head basket - a little ink spilled causes a short circuit: /

    EDIT:
There was a 17Ohm resistance between the two pins of the problematic tape, I sealed them and the printer reports incorrect cartridges (they were not inserted).

If the head has already been burnt once, nothing will help it. Only replacing the head with the ribbon that goes to it. I have made a lot of these types of printers and even if you manage to run it on this head, it won't take long.

In that case, I am writing the printer off - unfortunately the cost of the head is not much lower than the price of this printer.

And now the question is what to choose next? I could look for an Epson compatible with my CISS again, but I'll be risking the same problem again. Before choosing the XP-422, I was thinking about one of the Brother models corresponding to this Epson. Are they more resistant to failures from the point of view of a service technician?

Epsons are also good, but unfortunately CiSS is a bad idea for their construction, because this is what happens later in 70% of cases.

Brothers have stations for carcasses and the ink is supplied to the head through hoses, such as CISS only for ink containers. If you use eternal inks + ink bottles, you won't complain. And the head electronics is on top, not the bottom of the head. They just don't like transport if they are not properly secured.
