I have a Samsung sound system and when I tried to connect the aux in my mobile phone, I touched by accident my old TV screen and it has like an electrical surface and then I tried to play a song but nothing happened and no sound came out from the speakers!!

I tried to figure out the problem but I couldn't find the safety circuit!
Here I attach the pdf files and a picture of the board

So please if anyone can help me solve the problem!

    Thanks in advance!

I thing you probably damage the amplifier of sound from AUX IN. In picture seems that this is a chip above the JACK.

It is dificult to check that chip. If you give me symbol and numbers from the chip i would serch for datasheet, and maybe find out sometching about it.

I thought it is aplifier, but this is 4 channel demultiplekser/multiplekser. I think it is using for turn off and on the AUX IN. I thing you can chceck it by manualy conecting input and output, but first i need to find out wcich pin is output and input.

This is CMOS integrated circuit so the discharge from tv screen can easily do internal damage of the component. It has ESD protection exceeds 2000V however it is difficult to say how it behave near double or tripple of that voltage. It can stop discharge to go further but can receive electrical damage. I would likely to replace it.
1,2,4,5 in / 3 out and 11,12,14,15 in / 13 out (or reversed once this is analog switch so can work either way).

Topic summary

A user reported an issue with their Samsung sound system after accidentally touching an old TV screen while connecting an AUX cable from their mobile phone, resulting in no sound output from the speakers. Responses indicated potential damage to the sound amplifier or the integrated circuit associated with the AUX input. The specific chip identified was a 74HC4052, which is a 4-channel multiplexer/demultiplexer. Discussions included troubleshooting steps, such as manually connecting input and output pins, and concerns about possible internal damage due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) from the TV screen. Suggestions were made to check the chip's functionality and consider replacement if necessary.
