    Good morning,

during system startup, a selection of accounts appears to me, including an unwanted guest account, which appeared "by itself". I did not create this account. It cannot be logged in - a password is required that has never been created, and without entering the password, it does not pass. However, earlier the computer began to log in and the message schell infrastructure host stop working appeared, finally windows did not start.

After logging in as an administrator, windows cannot see the guest account that I could cancel.

The problem appeared after the visit of the Lord, who connected a new printer and tried to set up scanning documents directly to the computer, which he did not succeed. It seems to me that he had to interfere in some processes / services and hence the icon of the guest account that is not there. But I'm not sure.

Any ideas on how to remove it?

Are you logging in to a user account with administrator rights, or have you unlocked the administrator built-in account?

Unlock the hidden "admin" and delete the guest account from its level.

    Good morning,

I apologize for the delay in answering, I did not notice the notification. The matter is still current and with your advice I enabled a hidden administrator account, previously logged in from a user account with such permissions. Now I have 3 accounts ;) . Unfortunately on this account, when I enter the windows settings and click on the accounts, the window suddenly turns off ..... because of this, you can not change anything in the settings.

    In the printscreen attachment,

I still have such a lead, as I activated the admin account, the name of this unwanted guest account, WDAGUtility Account appeared in CMD, and maybe following this lead, the problem is on the windows update side. However, this does not solve my problem, I would like to get rid of this account.

From the microsoft side, after the translator, but you can understand - it should brighten something to you:
    Quote:
The specified account is part of the Windows Defender Application Guard application that was included in the Fall Creators update (version 1709). This account will remain disabled unless (Windows Defender Application Guard) is enabled on your device. A blog was created to inform users about the inclusion of this feature in the latest iteration of the operating system (OS).
WDAGUtilityAccount was previously added to Insider Preview Builds, although it is often disabled. It is usually active in the Enterprise version of Windows 10. This element is integrated into the operating system and is not considered a threat / virus / malware.

    EDIT:
I also have this account, only it is inactive. So go to control panel -> administration tools -> computer management -> local users and groups -> users -> ppm on WDGUtilityAccount -> properties -> Disable account.

For me it changes like this:

You can disable other accounts the same way - did you check?

Master! Thank you done. Only CMD, in computer management I don't have visible user accounts, because I have a reduced version of windows.

    Added after 3 [minutes]:

I entered "net user Guest / active: no" at the command prompt that was run as administrator and the account was disabled.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the issue of a non-existent guest account appearing during Windows 10 startup, which cannot be logged into due to a missing password. The problem arose after a printer was connected, leading to potential interference with system processes. Users suggested enabling the hidden administrator account to manage user accounts, and one user identified the unwanted account as the "WDAGUtilityAccount." Solutions included disabling the account through the command prompt and accessing user management settings. Ultimately, the guest account was successfully disabled using the command "net user Guest / active: no."
