    Hello !
As in the topic, I have a problem with the Ford Mondeo Mk4 1.8 TDCI.
It fires hard on a hot engine.
The computer diagnosis showed error P0087 (fuel pressure control valve), the pressure on the ramp during the warm start is from 1.5 to 2.5 bar, so in my opinion a little bit.
Fuel filter replaced, old very dirty.
Proven shaft position sensor resistance to hot and cold.

I suspect that the culprit is this fuel pressure sensor in the pump, but is there any way to confirm this diagnosis?

I would also like to add that after connecting the fuel system "briefly", i.e. bypassing the tank, wires, fuel filter, the car fires better.

Check injections for transfers or disassembly and for a company that specializes in it.

I will do an overflow test, and where do you suspect that it is the fault of the injectors?

They may not be holding pressure on the CR bar.
